I had the council here a few months ago to install the new smokies and heat detectors,. I refused them because I know they are dangerous and do collect data. They were the same with me. So rude ! They always give the same response with the line ‘You are liable for the debt, and your outstanding balance is xyz’. I’ve requested the documents related to the sake of my debt via DSAR from Jacobs and they said they don’t hold it. So I sent one to the council who also said they didn’t have it and told me that legally they are partnered with the Jacob’s so they have authority to collect on their behalf. So I asked for the contract via FOI which they said they couldn’t disclose it as it may be destructive to other companies bidding for that contract ! So I complained to the ICO who sided with them. I recently had to stop working and had to start claiming benefits and they immediately started taking council tax from my benefits. I’ve personally text the bailiffs who have sent letters to me telling them I will take them to court if they continue. I still get letters. It’s like going round in circles with them so now I refuse to contact them at all. It’s shocking that they and the councils can do this knowing the truth

Imagine the mindset of the people who spend their days defending this corrupt system and enforcing its bullying diktats on ordinary people, who are minding their own business and just want to get on with their lives in peace. They really must have a few screws loose.

Courts are a business and judges are self employed, which makes them the data controller. Magistrates courts can deal with civil matters. Their fee is lower than the CC. I would say that councils have an arrangement with the courts. If you put in a foi request asking the court how much do the council pay you, and ask the council how much you actually pay the court, and see if the answers tally. You can audit your council under the local audit and accountability act 2014.

The way the system is currently operated certainly leads people looking for an excuse to believe that the Council Hires out the Court for Council Tax purposes. Anybody challenging Council Tax is confronted with a very 'lax' and in some cases 'loose' First hearing whereby it's only when 'Challenged' and removed from the Days Bulk Hearing list that it then morphs into that of a ''Contested Hearing' and is then subsequently Adjourned with allocated Case Number for a future date. And due to people not being listed in or noted in the Court Data Base of the day for that first initial Hearing, i.e Their Name Not on the Court List, just furthers their belief after the event, that the process they have just endured was ''Council Operated''. Obviously the Council take liberties in these circumstances by approaching all those that attend and trying to make ''arrangements' to avoid personal Court Appearances which just further adds to the belief that it's the Council; who are 'running' things.

If they dont hire out court rooms for council tax , then they must be legit courtrooms or fraudulent .

Just because they do not hire the court for public hearings doesn't mean they are not accessing the court for hearings. A decade ago for example a private man could simply access a court building for a private or public hearing. I think the trick is that they've only told you they do not HIRE the court. This simply means that they are not charging for use of the public building. What they are doing is cherry picking who is allowed to hold public or private hearings.

There are gazillions of "Customer Service" agents just like her working for the corporations. (comes across as minimum wage, minimum training no doubt). What these institutions REALLY want of course is AI, an algorithm and no human contact at all.

As the courts are public build8ngs / publicly accessible why is there no PLI public liability insurance?

I heard about courts being hired out and thought it wouldn't surprise me no more I have always thought for council tax and tv license are allocated one court room and just heard council/license all day long . criminal court is a separate court room I have spoken to people who think that non payment of council/license fees hold up the the criminal court which isnt true that why they have separate court rooms

When I attend Colchester Court and say Council Tax I am shown to the Council Workers dealing with Council tax. they are in the court. YES they do conduct business on Court property. Hire it is a red herring.

@14:00 You may recall? we had this same problem last year at Westminster Magistrates Court, when the Area Magistrates were contacted to tell us who the Security Contractor was they put up a firewall and bounced all emails back, once you know the Contractor they can if directed to, supply the names of the officers on shift, the only other way is to get a good shot of their SIA badges or find out this info in advance, based on previous behaviour of Security and Officers in the mags and the fact these childish games are now common occurrence, it would be wise to perform due diligence in advance of attending their vipers pit. You know this ....
