VF45 is the twinscroll turbo fitted to the last year or so of BP5/BL5 production.

i have Hayward and scott on mine and its the best sound in my opinion. just sounds a big deeper then most of the others

For someone trying to learn how to tune. Would you recommend learning via Cobb and its Accesstuner program or via a Tactrix and OpenSource?

Not got a code reader yet but parked my 04 Forester STi on the drive 3 days ago (its on a slope) and its rained, snowed and rained again. Just drove out to the shops, check engine light came on, felt really sluggish, like no boost at all, parked up. Can't see any pipes split, airleaks etc, but the battery tray has water in it. Does what you say about water around the knock sensor (17:06) sound like what it might be? Further to this, then noticed I couldn't lock the car at all, started it back up and on the way out of the car park the light went off, stopped and turned the car off, got out and the locks now worked. Started back up, no engine light and car felt completely normal, boost felt back to normal. Not sure where to start with a code reader that works on a JDM 2004 Forester, my other car is on a Link G4X so its a doddle to see anything not used to "modern" OEM ECUs 😅

As an experienced subaru tuner . how well does the SG9 handle compared to its saloon STI counterpart . Is there allot more bodyroll because of the higher centre of gravity ? does it understeer more ?

Hello whats the difference between a Normal forester SGand the sti in terms of chassis reinforcements and is the track wider at the rear ?

I searched SG9 but none of your videos came up , I also searched Pedders SG9 and they did not come up .If you have not optimise your keywords you should as your excellent videos are being missed . I only saw your suspension video as I remembered you had a SG9 and then started playing your Playlist and stumbled on a gem and a review for the actual shocks I was interested in

Sounds nice and look great. I’ve got my eyes on a centre pipe from h&s for the sg. Not something I’ve ever considered in the past but Subaru internet noise makes me second guess. Would it need a tune? lol

I live in Canada.. I went with Nameless mufflers on my 2016 legacy 3.6. It drones at 2300-2600 if you hold it there, but once you get up past that, it just sings. Also have a custom aluminum intake tube to the stock air box. When I really stomp on it, you can here the engine just hammering. Coupled with a bunch of beefy suspension components, it's a lot of fun to drive. I'm open to have it tuned by you guys for a bit more personality, if it's not expensive.

I love Haywood & Scott's exhausts, the guys are really nice to talk to and are always willing to help you out, I'm quite lucky as they're only round the corner from me. A couple of my friends have had their cars fitted with a custom system from them and they've sounded amazing and as you mentioned the fitting and workmanship is second to none.

We picked up an import SH XT last year as a runaround. First thing it got was a pair of un-baffled back-boxes to restore some wob-wob. The only real tinker with it so far has been to get rid of the bloody cruise control upper limit! If it could manage 70 I wouldn't mind but they never engage over 65 or so.

And with that exhaust more plowa and better fuel economy for sure. Just more efficient. And the rumble we are all hooked on lol

I've had H&S on mine for about a decade. It's been great, however I've seen posts over the past year or two about their poor welds and fitment. PS: your smile was like when I fitted mine haha.

Agree about the dump valve. I fitted a HKS SSQV and within 1 mile of driving, I immediately hated it! It was taken off the same night!

Hey Duncan, the first question from MaxTh3Mad sounds exactly like what happens with my MY05 WRX, whille at WOT! So it could be a feature of the base map, rather than a fault? Also, after a false start with a blue tooth OBDII dongle, I'm going to order a Tactrix cable and get some logging done soon! Cheers!
