Nice work as always!, I’ve sold my sti to a family member pending payment 😂 but I told him he’s coming to you for mapping as that’s what I was going to do lol
Great job agin Duncan just that little annoying problem that most of the gr chassis have top man for showing us how to solve it this is why your the (Subaru guru)😊👍👌🙏
Thanks Duncan for this important video. I just wished you elaborated more on the technical info within the custom tuning process. Basically what I understand is you added more fuel in that particular segment where it stutters but what is the previous AFR values and the newer ones? Plus, I'm hoping the adding of extra proportion of fuel won't effect the overall fuel consumption in the long run; that this fixation won't be on the expense of creating another problem, hence, a mechanical change maybe a necessity/priority before resorting to tuning the stutter out. Also, what modifications does this particular STI have? injectors? cams? upgraded turbo? This is important to know.
The car in that video was the one in the Stage 1 Tuning video just released so almost stock/std. I added fuel into the maf curve at the low end that it moves through as it see the stutter. It ironed it out on that car. I have seen it worse with large injectors and that seems to be contributed to by the weird fpr set up.
Nice. My stumble became unbearable after switching to larger injectors. I initially tried another style regulator but ultimately the fix was switching to parallel lines and aftermarket rails.
Great video mate keep it up enjoying the videos. Q. V3 sti type r what weight of oil do you recommend sorry I feel you have answered this before but can't remember cheers
I find the stumble is in the dbw torque output being to high in the low load range, and incorrect shaped tip in enrichment. But that’s assuming you maf scale is correct, and your still having the issue.

Remind me on the day and I will look to see whether yours would be fixed with this :)
Just gathering all the parts to complete the puzzle ready for a re run.. really good map just so strangled being standard hardware throughout😂

Yeah mines in the 3000 to 3500 range, right pita, will send this to my tuner, drop in for a tweak and hopefully be rid of it, cheers!
👍👍
Nice Demo Duncan, of data logging and problem solving. 👍 Good vid as usual 🙂
thanks Peter 🙏
Awesome job my friend
thanks mate 🙏

Yeah..bigger injectors really emphasise it. Luckily the maf curve cure sorted this out..have changed fprs before for others and rails. Good choice 👍

Personally I would use a 10/50 or 15/50 fully synthetic ..Motul 300v is great 👍

Yeah, there are many different causes of it.. I was surprised that this solution worked so simply, I was expecting other tasks tbh👍
@@racedynamix it’s good though means you are covering all aspects of the problem on many different cars.
Tremendous car ❤
What’s the fuel of choice in the UK? What available fuels are there readily available?
