From watching that my totally stock car did really well . I have a trackday booked end of this month @ oulton park drift day 😂 the rwd boys won’t know I used to do 22b sprint series there and always on podium. I will be back soon for re tune once I fit a few more bits sir !!! Top content as usual love ittt 👍🏻
Quick one some has shown interest in my Prodrive back box .. will putting stock back on alter my map or wait until trackday done ? I will reset Ecu and do a quick learn 👍🏻
Very informative video... Probably not so good fuel with that detonation, or is that common? This is where the octane booster video would be nice, to see if it clears that detonation! :D
Cheers Duncan! Would be great to tag the det event on screen, I thought I heard something but there is no RPM ref in the video to match against commentary
Hi duncan very informative video. I noticed the wgdc is pretty high at higher rpms. I have a 2010 sti with ej20x running all sti components (usdm) vf48. However past 6000 Rpm I have to ramp down my wgdc as my boost is at 18-19psi at only 30-40 wgdc, which is lower than the rest of the rpms (ranging around 50-60%). Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Hi. It's normal for the wgdc to be higher to attempt to force the turbo to hold more boost. On yours it could be that the exhaust is causing a back pressure build up that brings boost up, or the wastegate arm isn't opening fully, or it is in need of porting around the wastegate to allow unwanted air to pass through easier. Personally I wouldn't worry too much, it's a gift to have that boost easily there. Enjoy it 😁
The cobra is freer flowing than the original prodrive one but I very much doubt that woulld bring on an engine light. Most likely unconnected... get a cheap code reader from Amazon for about £15 and it will help poiint you in the right direction I am sure.
@@racedynamix thanks for the response. Yes I had a blow out for 2 days when connecting the new exhaust on because the bung was worn out. I had to get it welded. Got it all Sealed up Then 2 days later it randomly threw on the eml last night
Hello do you know any good machine shops with good prices can travel .need the sleeve inserts reinforcement fitted and machined and thicker case bolts and the heads machined ???

Nice vid Duncan just wish I understood most of it lol
Lol. It's a deep dive so hopefully some will or refer back to it 😁😁
The sound effects 😊
My JDM STI is getting so old the rattles and creaks are nearly as loud as the engine and exhaust 🤣

Nice video, thanks!
My pleasure 😁
Very informative video, thanks. Can I ask what sports cat was on this car, if you know? Not many twin scroll options.
thanks... tbh I can't remember, I think it was Cobra but can't be sure ..sorry
Great video! Need to see if you can map my car at somepoint but think im miles away from anywhere you go unfortunetely
Where are you based ?

I did that in the previous video for the exact det point 👍
@@racedynamix excellent, will go have a listen

nice but what all the colours for
The colours on the ecu tables are just a way to visualise it and make sure logical and smooth. They don't mean anything on their own 👍
Hi. I recently changed my pro drive back box to a cobra back box. 4 days later the eml has came on. Any ideas as to why this would happen

I got my last set of liners and 14mm head bolts done by Chesman Engineering in Coventry. Top guys 👍
@@racedynamix thank you . Your a gentleman 🫡
what will cause detanetion ? Octane low, heat?
Too much ignition timing
too much heat
not enough fuel
Lower octane fuel than it wants/needs.
Any and all of the above 👍👍
Thanks.
