    As a previous SG5 owner, now an SH5 owner, i gotta say that I love the difference in the stock air intake system in the SH5, because the air is grabbed from through the front of the car through a plastic housing system (if i can call it that), as opposed to the enclosed air intake of the SG5

      @racedynamix I really appreciate the wisdom you give us on these cars man, there's not many videos out there highlighting the specifics, so thank you for that.
      Also I was wondering if you're planning on doing any cooling/air mods on your car, like a front mount intercooler for example. I live in Tanzania where it's dusty as hell and always HOT. I'm planning on installing some hood vents on it for some heat dissipation and replacing the top mount intercooler with a front mount. Do you have any tips regarding if it's a good idea for a dusty and hot environment? Maybe other cooling mods I can do that I don't know about?

    Always surprising me just a simple modification and get some good results

      Mods that work.. Work well 😎

      The aim was cost effective mods, which I think we’ve achieved. It feels like a different car 😀

    Thats a JDM Forester STI intercooler, which is basically just a WRX intercooler so it won't do much more but probably more than the OEM forester intercooler. Had to get a blobeye or bugeye STI intercooler which also bolts straight on.

    Go the Forester! Good power and probably good response with that sized turbo.

      @racedynamix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah it's a small turbo on a big engine.. Response is great 😎

    If you put a bigger turbo will it make more power?

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi..yes else why go for a bigger turbo ? Would obviously need tuning for it 👍

    Is there a sweet spot for ignition timing in general or is every engine different, what sort of ignition would you expect an ej255 to take over a ej257? For power.

    • @benc911
      @benc911 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      sweet spot is making good power and been det free, all engines are different, there's no one map fits all with these. Lots of virables like engine health, mods, octane of the fuel etc.

    I am from Jamaica, my 2003 Cross Sport just did some changes: STI (pistons,rods,crankshaft,TMIC,VF30 TURBO,565 cc pink injectors), 12MM Oil pump, 255 walbro fuel pump, AEM dryflow intake filter. Exhaust is no name, I am considering deleting the cats on the exhaust system. Just needing to tune now after slow gentle breaking in process. What are your thoughts in its prospects of power threshold? thank you in advance for your reply

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your fuel quality should allow for around 310 bhp on that turbo😎 possibly a little more.
      Is it a manual cross sport?

    • @duseanmarshall1204
      @duseanmarshall1204 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@racedynamix yes,it is a 5MT. In Jamaica we recently got 93 octane at select service stations, however predominantly 90 octane is the highest used.

    Greetings from Greece. What's the point of removing just the 2nd cat? Got the exact same car, same fuel pump + panel filter and a very mild remap (running almost 1 bar).
    I am wondering what to do next. Torn between just removing the 2nd cat or fabricating a 63.5 downpipe without any cats. Any suggestions?

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi. The 2nd cat removal gets rid of some restrictions and help flow/power and also makes it sound louder 😎

      @@dannyboy640do you know what they are? Look like 08+ wrx seats? Did they swap the brackets, or do only 3/4 of the brackets have bolts in them?

    • @dannyboy640
      @dannyboy640 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t know where mine came from but I know SL Impreza’s (blob eye) had them. They had a leather interior. The rails were with the seats and from memory were the same as the Forester ones.
