I’m lucky to of seen this car in person it’s a great build top work by all involved.. it’s even got a stock looking back box no big bore outlet so apart from the wheels it look like a standard car and de badged boot so confusion for those who don’t know what it is when it passes them at warp speed with all four wheels spinning 👍👍
This is insane 700hp+ 🔥🔥🔥 that's so powerful it's laughable. Imagine having a conversation with someone and telling them "yeh on actuator boost pressure, i'm still around the 500bhp mark" 😂
It would be interesting to know how long that engine holds up over time. Hopefully, Gary will keep you posted and allow you to keep us posted in turn. I have been tempted over the last 2 years to whack a bigger turbo in my FSTI and get the power above 400 as I already have the supporting mods in place to do it, but I am a very unlucky person, so I know the engine would let go, and I am too broke to fix it 😅.
I know the std EJ22 block will take 750 before creaking and splitting.. Unfortunately I found that out the expensive way 😱 But.. We have syvecs set up to monitor oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure and full time closed loop lambda, with any one of those falling outside of safety margins it will put it into limp mode. Also knock control is immense on Syvecs so can take action on any cylinder as soon as it senses bad things. Having said that, bad stuff can happen really quickly at this level.. 👍
Currently into my 2.35 build would love to hit that I was going to give you a shout when the engine is done for a running in map you mapped my last wrx 470bhp
Hi Duncan Still waiting for a reply to my email, on the 15th buddy. Spoke to Paul who said you had a fiddle with the car and it was OK but the problem came back shortly after ? Just want a back and fourth started so hopefully I can get this issue sorted. If I've got some history of what you've done or tried I'll have a direction of how to proceed ? Paul mentioned the lads at triton couldn't figure it out ? Great videos BTW really enjoying going through them. All the best Mog'z
Thats a nice curve too for a massive amount of boost in a relatively small displacement engine. Cant see the rpm in the video, just wondering the spool up and peak powr rpms
@@garylover-jf6wy I have my car built for 700bhp+, was interested to see what way you went on pistons and rods. But agree, pockets need to be very deep.
720 😮! Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing Based on the non-stock wheel arches at the front I gather it’s running a wider track. Full STI transmission conversion too? “Very expensive” -> how much to this point roughly 😉
Yeh, it's an expensive hobby. I'm only looking at getting half that power if I'm lucky, and it's already so costly. But then I again my car was a completely unmolested example when I brought it. So its literally starting from scratch. But I'm getting there slowly but but surely. Few hicups here and there as always with projects. By the time im done. I think my upgrades will surpass the cost of how much I brought the car for 😂
Can you explain how you used a 4 port boost control solenoid to make the boost response smooth? The ones i've used are incredibly touchy and hard to tune. You use a really low operating cycle or something?
The 4 port provides pressure to hold the wastegate shut and is tricky to control on a normal ecu. The Syvecs ecu is super quick to control it with its PID setup. Yes it needs much less duty than a 3 port and corrections need to be much finer though 👍
I have a JDM blobeye STI running stock atm with the ej207 Twinscroll and EHL, how much power do you think it could hold reliably and would it cost much to get it to about 400hp?
The stock engine on that should take 450 if its in good working order. The only real option for 400 without ruining it is a fastline twinscroll Vf400. Would need to upgrade fuel pump, exhaust and probably fmic to get there.. Cost anything between 2 and 3k depends on quality of fmic kit 👍 Personally I would put a decat, fule pump and map and call it done at a rapid 360bhp 👌
For more boost do u have to put stiffer sprints in the waste gate ? Ive got 14 psi springs but getting more that 26 psi from be on the 4 port has been hard
700bhp is an insane figure. I can't imagine how quick that must be! Looking forward to the updates with the new clutch fitted.
Yeah.. It is. My old Impreza was 850bhp and that was very blurry. It will go back on the dyno with the new clutch to fully use the available torque 😎
Can't wait to have him tuning my blobeye 🙏🙏
Silly miles per hour got me😂😂😂.
Great video
🤣🤣. Thanks buddy 🙏

Yeah mental.. Wastegate pressure was 540 😱😱
Great job on the keyboard. That's awesome power
Thank you 🙏
Just sold my 520 bhp 2.35 Forester STI.
I wanted to go this kind of power but was quoted another 16k to go from 520! To 650 ish so sold it😂
Yep..its an expensive step tbh. Nice power for the Foz 😎😎
@racedynamix yep was a great car put the power down so well but was time to move on to other things! I'm sure I will regret selling🤦♂️
Dam it.... I need a lot of money and a big garage sometime in my life.... for all the fun toys I want.... this is now on the list
Yeah.. It's a bit special 😎
@@racedynamix ok maybe not exactly that but a brutal sleeper wagon... I need !!
Crazy power but fair play to him, will prob get you to put a syvecs in my foz next year 👍
@racedynamix humm... what have you done!?!?!? Now i need to start saving! 😀
🤣🤣 Sorry
@@racedynamix i think it is good as it is 🙂
Have to say I'd like to do half that with a 2002 STI wagon....

GG wagons are so unassuming. What fun!
Definitely 😎
My 02 WRX wagon has a Prodrive map, about 260hp and is fun for me. 700+? Id piss myself!
Lol yeah it is a bit silly fast 🤣
Nice results. I'd be happy with 400 on my STI!
Thanks. It did well. 400 is a great target 😎

Nice work Graham. Whose handy work built the engine?
Thank you very much 🙏 Andy Williams built engine 😎

Is there a full spec list anywhere Duncan? Looks a nice build and hopefully I’ll be seeing similar figures once my rotated kit goes on.
There isn't but I will ask Gary for one 👍
@@racedynamix Awesome, thanks Duncan
It's a massive list I've forgotten a lot of which was change.very deep pockets were needed to get this far😂

That's what I found.. Could get 1.9 bar with 1 bar springs but we wanted/needed more.. Hence why the stiffer springs.
Id1300!?!? To make 700!?
Yes. There were Id1000 in there but as stated in the video we wanted a bit of headroom on them 👍
Hey who build the engine for you mate?
The engine wasn't built for me. My customer had it built by Andy Williams 👍
