When the car gets put back together again, about what percentage of parts get reinstalled torqued to spec? Are there more vital parts than others? How do people manage to find torque specs for cars? Great work, learning tons thank you
The really critical torque settings are in things like engines and gearboxes .. the rest are just done up tight. Workshop manuals are available (paper version or can be found online) for each model if you want to get obsessed with the torque settings but in the real world they matter very little truth be told. Thanks :)
Hi Duncan, if my 5 speed axle seals are leaking what seals would I need as I see there is an inner and a outer seal. Am I right in saying will be the outer I'd need? Thanks
*edit* And i was hoping this car gets all new sti parts underneath as far as suspension component maybe? With benefit of improved handling "oem+" style of upgrade
@@racedynamixsorry my bad...i have a look again at the part laying on the floor... It wasnt subframe spacer...its the "jack-point" plate removed from the subframe... Sorry for my bad eyes 🙏
Nice! That's a lot of effort to completely restore a car, but a well worth it one especially for a Tommy. Good job mate! I'm real excited for part 3 😎
Thanks.. It is definitely worth it. Some cool stuff to come 😎
Worth it on any Subaru especially 1st gen ❤
