Good start to your project car Duncan underside looks in pretty good shape for its age I think it would look good painted wr blue😊 keep up the great work looking forward to seeing the progress 👌👍
You wouldn’t happen to have any contacts for a BH5 blitzen front bumper would you. I’m in need of a new one for mine 😢 Watching this series and enjoying it.
can't wait for the next Q&A i bought some new shiny shiny parts and have questions :D ... something thats not well documented on youtube / the internet either and tuning related :)
Hi, Duncan. I emailed you a photo of my newly painted 2004 Baja - similar front end to your Legacy - for a paint suggestion. I'm looking forward to the continuation of this build with a bit of jealousy. Hoping to do something similar with my car, Oh,,, and my wife hates you.
Nice STi blue and wheels gold I reckon.... 380 sounds a bit conservative, would love to know how you decided upon that hp level.... is there a spec restriction or do you find that power level nicer for the road?
Hmmm. 380 because I think that is the sweet spot for road car for reliability, fun, expense pov. The std ra257 block will do this, std 550 injectors fine, std clutch for nice daily driver feel... but enough to have some fun with without out balancing the rest of the car 😎
How about dipping the trim plates in a dark smoked camouflage design with a background in a hint of the color on the outside.... And on the outside I might be A bit ordinary , but Subaru blue always looks beautiful
H6 Outback owner from Brazil here! Any tips, pros and cons, on converting to ethanol? Its a very available fuel here, and thinking of adding sustainability with more power seems a good ideia. What would i need to swap? TKS!
Hi. Thanks for the question 😁 Depending on the Yr of your car the fuel lines may not be compatible with alcohol based fuels or the fuel pump. Definitely worth checking first. The map would need to be changed to add approx 35% more fuel to allow it to run efficiently on e85. But you can run it leaner on e85 than normal petrol so that 35% will come down on load. Lots more ignition timing can be possible on certain engines which will make more power and torque. In short, if the fuel lines and pump are okay with it then it would need to be mapped properly to run it well. I hope that helps. Duncan
I’d recommend bed lining the underside will hold up longer and if it gets some hits from rocks you probably won’t notice
Definitely going to be doing this Kalen 👍😎
Gloss black on the interior trim would look classy
agreed 👏
