Awesome! Only now come across your channel, so I'm going to smash all your videos 😊 i always wanted a subaru impreza, and unfortunately, money only enabled me to get a 2006 hawkeye non turbo r sport but i still bloody love it 😆 so interesting watching what you do 👍🏼
Glad to have you here. There is hopefully a good mix of technical, tuition and interest for you. I wish I could do some NA Impreza content but we rarely see them in the UK ... one day 👍
@racedynamix I'll get some money together, and you can do mine 😆 I'd love to see what could be done to squeeze a bit more power out of mine? I'm so excited to learn from you ! 47 years young and loved subaru impreza since a teenager. Thanks 😊
I like it but I would have to have the standard gearbox personally just because of how I use the car, great explanation of what you were doing thanks Duncan
Oh the bug eye love. I just tuned 2 this last week one at 356hp and the other 372hp to the wheels and they both came with .043 gapped plugs🤦♂️ I was like ya gap your plugs to .026. These ej205 will blow the spark out at anything above 14 psi with the .043 plug gap.running .026 gap I got 22 psi. But 24 psi and up need some hot coils for sure.

How detrimental to the life of the turbo and valve train is rolling anti lag and also launch control? Also I’m personally a little confused on why have a car strapped to the dyno but show us flywheel hp, I’d like to see the whp.
Hi Duncan! Hoping a small question for your vast knowledge. My 2006 US STI has a 16102aa360 Denso boost control solenoid. I found a 2008+ STI solenoid but part number is 16102aa380 Denso, can I use that one and would it be plug and play? Thank you!
@@racedynamix great thanks Duncan, it just threw me off the parts number were different and when I installed the new one it doesn't boost to the 20 PSI I had tuned for, I'll fiddle with it some more.
It measures alcohol content so you have to stick with either ethanol or methanol, you can't mix them as fueling requirements are completely different. But yes, 4 gallons methanol and 6 gallons of fuel is m40 mix 👍
@@racedynamix txs for your answer theres this channel turbine research, he does some methanol flexfuel testing and it seems the content sensor reads way higher than the actual content , but 40% meth ratio should be around 20% oxygenation vs 30% on e85 good stuff
Given how scientific and methodical you are about building Subaru's i didnt expect you to have a hot air intake and a fmic that passes the cooled air directly over a hot turbo
Great tuning, clear information. That is a lot of power out of that setup. Certainly maximized with that turbo size. Bug eye is my favorite
I really have a soft spot for the bug sti 😎
Thank you 🙏
proper interesting content duncan has mapped 3 of my subarus but to see a 2001 bugeye making that power is lit
thanks mate 😎🙏
I just picked up a 2002 WRX Bugeye. Would love to have that much power

Subarus have a sweet spot in timing. I never get greedy with timing on a subi. 😂maybe a few times in the past but I learned my lesson lol🎉

Thank you... Great car and a weapon on the road 😎
Very nice, next month my 2.1 sti will be mapped on rcm500- similar to gtx3076r ,top mount intercooler, will be happy with 480 on petrol and 520 meth.

All good things are bad for the car in a way.
We use flywheel figures in the UK the same as the manufacturers 👍
5:03 quick question Duncan, Can you do rolling anti-lag on a stock ECU ??
