I've been sewing for over 20 years. Last week I secured bias tape to the armhole of a garment. I sewed it to the wrong side, so that if I continued it would actually sit on the finished side of the garment instead of the inside. This was not the look I was going for. Even people who are experienced mistakes. Give yourself grace.

So cute! I'm a huge fan of overalls. One question. Do you have to unbutton the straps to take them off... as in go to the bathroom? Looks like the straps will slide off your shoulders, but that is something to consider. I have a stash of decorator/outdoor remnants, I used to work at Joann's and I'm all about "end of bolt." When I saw your fabric selection I realized the outdoor fabrics are petfect for this. I wear them for yard work, about mid-calf length. They are short enough to keep out of the dirt, but long enough to protect my knees when I'm kneeling. The waterproofing protects against grass stains and mud. Genius! First time viewer here. Great idea in the cloche with a normally large mythical animal but small for once! And the spider web is great & not overdone like so many of us do. The pegasus was nice touch. The rat I wasn't impressed with....until I saw the chopped off tail mounted at the bottom....well done! I'm off to check out your channel now!

I used that pattern before and found the hood way too big and the trunk too short. I def had to modify it.

My mum helps run a thrift store in her local community, has done so for almost 25 years. In the beginning, the donations were stored in a covered section of our yard before it was sorted. We've seen all kinds of things - things easily worth $500+ with the tags still on, a genuine yukata, formal wear, lingerie, used nappies, weed (it's still illegal in my country)...i could never deal with sorting the clothes, I'd get the worst hayfever. But if you sort through the crap you can find some real gold for sure :D Edit: oh yeah Bhutan sounds amazing! Nice!

I love the bins-- I go to the one here in Akron sometimes, but it's not the biggest. I went to one in St. Louis once and it was so beautiful-- the second floor of a warehouse that was just WINDOWS the whole way around. Magical smelly thrifting! 😀 It's addicting.

Took all I found...I use them in my displays...I was given a heads up on a garage sale...$2.00 for a HUGE box of materials...again, I use on my tables...S C O R E 🎉 WINNER goes to ME!!!! 🍾

Love what your doing and ur shares! I am obsessed with spooky vibes and painting things black but I died a lil when you painted black over the pretty nature backgrounds. U should try and take the black paint off if u can! I would have done a smidgen of black to give it a worn look with the animals. I love the little rat guy!
