  • Mr. Makes Stuff and I traveled to the Thousand Islands region of New York to see the total solar eclipse. I thought people were over-hyping the experience, but now...I don't think there's any way to express how incredible the whole thing was. I'm so grateful for getting to experience this with my favorite person in a beautiful area.

I'm thrilled it looks good on camera. I was a little worried it wouldn't show up well.

That’s the first time I have understood how awe inspiring it must have been in the past, before people understood what it was, I have never seen one irl and your footage was great, nice to meet mr makes stuff too xx

That's breathtaking - I feel truly emotional just from watching the footage, in person it would have been a whole nother level! Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this. I want to try and see the one that's happening in my country in 2028. Fingers crossed...

Great video and it was nice meeting Mr. Makes Stuff!
This brought back memories of the total solar eclipse from august 1999. I was 14 and saw it on a beach in my home country Romania, we were about 400km from the point of maximum eclipse so the effect was amazing. Definitely bucket list worthy experience.

I think it's amazing that we could experience something so awe inspiring even in the most mundane places like parking lots and highway pull-offs!

It was so cool you were on the other side of side of the Thousand Islands region by the Vermont border. We drove down to South Carolina for the previous one and have plans for the next too - just a thing we do. Always memorable IME

We may be eclipse addicts now. Trying to decide whether or not to try for Iceland in a few years!
