'A League of Their Own' Baseball Uniform || I finally made my own and now I need a team!!

- I have loved 'A League of Their Own' (the movie) for probably as long as I've played softball, which is a pretty long time! And when I got into sewing, I knew I eventually wanted to make my own version of the 1940's baseball uniform, along with the patches and accessories seen in the film.
With the help of a pattern I found on Etsy, I managed to pull together something I think is pretty dang close!
Will I show up to a random Halloween party in this costume??? Maybe.
Will I definitely find a way to wear it whenever possible??? Absolutely!
So until my next spooky adventure, enjoy this trip down the vintage clothing path!

I may have forgotten to iron the final product though...can't do too much all at once 🤣
I find listening to podcasts enables me to focus enough to do stuff, love the 40’s style of the fit xx
I feel like I'm the opposite. If I need to focus on a task, having something new playing takes up too much room in my brain. However, if I'm in the car for a long time, new podcasts are a necessity!
Well done! I suspect the reason you weren't intimidated by the button up style of the shirt is because it was something you REALLY wanted to make. I was like that with zip closures in clothing (pouches etc were no problem, go figure) but I drafted a skirt that I really wanted a "proper" closure for and conquered the fear.

I'm wondering if the reason this didn't stress you is that you were thinking it was a costume for halloween as opposed to a shirt going into your everyday wardrobe? I had forgotten about the 40's clothes in that movie. I should go back and watch it again!
