- I unintentionally took a month off from TH-cam and instead focused on just sewing some cool stuff. I guess it's what I needed for my own mental health, and during that I time I learned how to make PANTS!! Not fancy pants, but comfy elastic-waist pants! I also found some neat thing while thrifting and going to auctions.
I'm excited to be back and can't wait to share more projects with you!

The difficulty of making for TH-cam is that instead of getting into your flow with your project you have to keep stopping to move the camera and also telling us what you are doing so something you enjoy doing becomes a chore, I fully understand that you need a break from filming and can reboot yourself by just making- having said that I am always happy when you upload and will happily wait between videos xx
100% yes! And my hyper focus takes over sometimes and by the end I'm like "crap! Forgot to do the job part of it!" Still finding the balance 🤷🤣
that gray and gold plaid is what my mom used to upholster her settee. So pretty.
That's awesome! I took the elastic out of the legs and now they look like fancy pants but fit like pj's.

I agree with you. I feel thrifting videos can motivate viewers to go out and attempt to buy used, rather than go to fast fashion.

I think your haul videos are more inspirational/aspirational than encouraging gross consumerism/hoarding. I'm an avid second hand consumer and I think about what I actually purchase carefully.

This is the second video of yours I have watched and I like you I like how you are so truthful and who cares what other people say you just keep doing you cuz I am on the path of learning how to make my own clothing too I used to be a quilter now I have so much material I don't know what to do with I think I'm going to turn some of it into my wardrobe
Love the wool and corduroy find! I would make a jumper you can wear in the colder months with different tops underneath? I made a few out of flannel and wore them every week. I made a pleated skirt for grainline ease.
I've missed youuuu 🤗. Glad to know you've been busy, and like you said a bit "antisocial" it's not just you. Must be something in the air 😊. Your hauls, makes, and your 🍌 vans are very cool. It's crazy how it seemed to have hit lots of people at the same time, but with the nicer weather, I'm READY to get back to doing fun things!

Glad to see you back though, it looks like you used your break much more productively than mine (which was mostly spent staring at the wall feeling bad about not making videos, cus yeah that's healthy). May it be a long time until the next mass burnout!

Oh, I spent ungodly amounts of time on tik tok feeling guilty for not using that time to make videos, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was reassuring to see so many people going through it at the same time, though.
Here's to more productivity and less burnout!!
Those pants look cool! Thought about making some myself as well, probably will try it out as soon as i have finished one of my current projects.
I love the final products so much and now I'm worried that I'll never go back to 'normal' pants again! Not so worried that I'm going to stop making them...
Those swim cover ups are really cute, in really liked the shorts. This is a great use of old towels. Are all of the beach tops cropped? I know that we are talking beach goers at the beach, but some of us are rather body conscious. I think a longer jacket that covers the tummy and but would be nice. Perhaps I'm projecting my own need to minimize my tummy.
Anyway, when you brought up towel beach cover ups, I immediately thought of vintage bath robes and cover up patterns made from towels that I've seen in 50's magazines. There are some really cute designs. I also think the vintage romper of the 30's thru 60's. Would be great in terry. The romper I'm thinking of often came in a pattern that usually included a skirt and short sweater blouse. Good luck, I hope they sell well.
All of the vests are cropped, but I made them for a specific person who likes that style. I'd probably make a longer version for myself. I've also thought about making pants from two towels where each leg is a different pattern. Very funky but probably pretty cool.
I think a terry cloth romper would be VERY cool!

I think that comment is flawed when considering inflation. I don't see prices dropping anytime soon. Were in stock up mode and I'm really good with that :).. Having a talent, being able to sell your crafts/clothes...and have a You tube channel??? Don't spend any time on negativity.... you got this!!
Those vans were a STEAL!!!!! Im gonna vomit because I bought the same ones and paid $57....lol what good luck and a great find!!
If it makes you feel better, it took me three years to find them, so at least $57 worth of gas 🤷
