Hi... my name is Kenny, and I am a normal dude with a lot of hobbies. I’m here to give you an earnest review of various products from my perspective. I am by no means an expert of any sort, and these reviews are just anecdotal findings I have from regular use. I have a very pragmatic and critical way of looking at things, and I look to give the viewer a different perspective of products that they may be interested in. The same way other you tubers have helped me to put eyes and hands on something that I can’t see or feel myself.
I will generally focus on knives and tools for everyday uses.

Keith Lawson Custom Tanto (Overview)
This is and overview of this handmade, custom Tanto, made by Keith Lawson. This Tanto was hand forged, using 15N20 and 1095 to make a twisted Damascus pattern, with scabbard and handle made of a combination of padauk, ash wood, poplar, lacewood, walnut, brass and copper. Keith is an unknown maker at the point of the making of this video, but I am lucky enough to know him personally, and have the pleasure of watching his progress as a bladesmith. If he starts a website in the future, I will link it here in the description.

Good video. A comparison with a CRKT M16-14SFG would be interesting.
Great job very in-depth review. Update us with more mods.
That's not a bad lookin knife at all. It reminds me of some comic book character back in the day called Maxx lol. If anyone doesnt doesn't know what in talking about, Google Maxx and go to images. You'll get it lol. Nice knife though. I dig the button lock on it. Wish they had more button locks with Spyderco. A PM 2 with a button lock would be nice.
In my front pocket eceryday in chinada. With a snaggle tooth qucik open attachment if i lived in a free state i would cary a pistol everyday. Too bad i live in chada

I carry mine everyday with a sharks tooth for quick draw. Wait snaggoe tooth. Ya
All the hardware is custom made specifically for Chris reeve. you can take the pivot from the zaan and unscrew it till there is only 1 thread and the pivot will not come out. it’s as secure there then it is if it was all way in.
So cool.
This is badass
Mils and MM are two differnt units. 1 Millimetres = 39.3701 Mils: 10 Millimetres = 393.7 Mils: 2500 Millimetres = 98425.2 . You can't say Mils when you are meaning Millimetres.
Great comp. I wish Spyderco would make a K390 Para2, 3.
They do
endless delays and numerous follow-ups, the ultra long wait built up so much anticipation... when it finally showed up it looked so bad, looks like product of some special ed machine class project LMFAOOOOO, it's a professional trolling job from the dude who made it.
Gold video🎉🎉❤
I see that you have a lot of evidence of voter mining on your bench. Are you one of the crooks that chanted in the election?
So what was the hype vs reality?
Got mine for shtf reasons
"it'll still cut you" lmao I've cut people with my army issue mess kit spoon. Not the plastic spoon from the MRE although that would probably work too. It's all about how much effort you are willing to use.
Kinda disappointing that it was struggling to cut paper after 5 minutes of cardboard cutting 🫤
Got mine delivered to the house for i think $ 105.00. BEST hundred dollar knife you can buy in my opinion. And you never have to worry about your fingers. In my pocket all day everyday. Thanks for the video.
U leave without saying anything?
They always do.
if thats thin behind the edge I'm the queen of england. is's vastly overbuilt (for dummies) like every other edc bro knife.
😲You really should do your wacking behind closed doors!
Dude eaes up on the blow and start the video.
no offense but you're not actually testing anything (you know that right?) other than adding to the bulk of evidence that "knife bro" is a legit mental illness. nothing you did was a test of anything, other than the patience of 38 thousand folks. I dare you to show us the average watch time for the video. I'm going to guess it's about 2 minutes. Also every single one of these steels has been extensively tested, actually tested, in a lab. In a variable controlled, precise, lab environment, that's called empirical evidence, and all of that data is available to anyone. idk what you think you're accomplishing but it's really quite silly. If you think I'm being "mean" then you are used to real talk because this is real talk. You didn't test anything. This video could be 10 minutes long, if you had any respect for the viewer. I'd bet my life not a single human watched the entire video. You wanna mess around with knives and film yourself, have at it. Have some self respect and don't try to call it a "test."
I didn’t not think about the button being in the way of gripping it right
I like Spyderco just fine, but for the money I think Cold Steel offers a better deal in the pricepoint in each knife. For collectors like me, I love my bright green-handled Spyderco Endura and a few others, but if I were going out to just get a knife for everyday carry (EDC), I'd go with Cold Steel every time. Strength: CS Blade: CS Safety: CS Edge Retention: CS Edge: CS/Serrated or Plain Ergonomics: CS Ease of Sharpening: CS/AUS10A Price: Mixed Views Of all knives, Cold Steel has, I think, the best combinations of blade length, steel, strength, edge and safety. When talking price, I'd also choose Cold Steel, but with the caveat of shopping. Some CS knives are horrendously overpriced, with others being great deals. AUS8A/AUS10A blades are the steels I'd choose. I love edge retention, but I _hate_ sharpening blades; and if I'm not cutting wood, I prefer the CS serrated edge. Years ago, I bought a CS Vaquero/5-inch serrated blade. I didn't know much about knives back then and I just wanted a Cold Steel, but I could see even then that the scallops were a bit rounded and the teeth were worn. But the nylon sheath was practically new. Now, I've used that knife a lot since then, since about 2006, and the blade edge has been worn significantly, but if I close my eyes and just run my finger along that edge, it still cuts through anything but wood. The serrations last forever. I did get a Marauder w/serrations, recently, and the patterns were terrible. This most likely was on purpose to keep users from grinding the teeth off, but I returned it to Amazon. The seller sent me a replacement (though I'd asked for a refund). Happily it had a much better serrated edge. Cold Steel is UNM (under new management), so we knife users have to keep them honest, so don't accept shoddy workmanship!
When you coming back man? Love your review style.
Thanks for making this video and for the results... i appreciate ur sacrifice for the data, and like erica says "use ur sh*t"
How much was it
Nice and good honest review! I always round off those sharp spidy holes a bit and back of the blade edges. I really love this spyderco❤and your channel ofcourse 😊p.s. you got me subbed👍🏻👍🏻
You handle that grinder like a liberal arts freshman.
The slim handle gives hot spots of you actually use it for more than flipping. That’s where the Buck 110 is superior, especially in the better steels. My Sebenza 25 is nice but the pivot is poor design. Listening to the bank vault clang doesn’t produce actual work.
What part of California has a 3 inch limit? These is no stated length limit for folders in California, concealed or not, unless there is a specific ordinance for an area.
Are you still making videos? What's a good contact or email?
Plenty of qc issues. Smh.
The Spyderco bug it in...bad. 36 Spydercos in 8 months. Ya it got that bad. It got to a point Id buy like a PM2 get so excited for it to arrive take it out the box and be amazed and 15 mins later put it back in the box and order another lmao. Then it ended up I had like 20 that I barely used and I was like wtf am I doing.
Damn all you do is b**** b**** b****
Dude, amazing review, the best I’ve seen on this knife and exactly what I was looking for that was missing with others… thank you!!
Check out the new versions with the "Ram Lock".
I thought I needed a deep carry clip but a shaman I got came with one and it created a total hotspot when flicking open the knife. It gave me appreciation for the stock spyderco clip! I’d like if it sat deeper in the pocket but I think their design is great and comfortable for me on my para 3, manix 2, and shaman.
Yeah I’ve had some lock stick in the last few Spydercos I bought with compression locks...
I don’t know why people use the word fitment for how things are fit together. This is not what it means, please look it up. It’s an English word meaning how well something is furnished, like an apartment. And the carbon fibre is obviously laminated peal-ply…. Perhaps reading the manufacturer’s information before doing a review would be advantageous…
I would love to hear a final conclusions video after more usage if you still own it, very cool knife 👍
Is the handle machined (milled)? I think it might be injection molded…
Mine was gummy and not very sharp out of the gate, but after cleaning, tuning and re-profiling the edge…basically doing Benchmade’s job for them, it’s pretty sick now. Tougher than I would have imagined and super smooth…
My police 4 FULL serrated K390..blew me away...so the toughest folder i have
I'm from Texas, I carry this knife , and various other large folders such as the Talwar and the spartan , its perfectly legal here , some folks look , but oh well Fu*kem if they dont like it ..😊
I carry a Recon-1 everyday mine is the S35VN Steel. Got it for right at a hundred bucks. When i was a teenager i carried the ole Buck 110. Still got one, but that Recon will be in my pocket for the rest of my life. Wish they would upgrade the steel....
@gregorygolden1296 I just picked up the coldsteel mayhem this Saturday, Amazon had the aus10a version for 148 bucks
I've been using it for food prep for the last 3 years or more. I'm not too impressed with the edge retention. How is your experience?
For 30 mins you bore the heck out of me bro. Ýou are so over and over with boredom. Come on man. What was the point of your not review???
It seems to me that what you mostly proved is that the hype and the reality are not far apart…
