I did not find any listing of 7075 (7075-T6) aluminum for this knife. Many makers went to 6061-T6 for ease of manufacturing, including Microtech. Depending on the heat treatment, there can be a significant difference in tensile and shear strength.

Good job Kenny! I bought this knife 2 years ago and was totally amazed at the execution of the plunge lock. The handle didn't jive with me , So I ended up gifting it away to a local friend.
He works in a machine shop at one of the major golf companies down south by me. Beat the crap out of it for over a year using it extensively on the job.
I got the knife to clean up and sharpen around Christmas time and couldn't believe how well it held to tough use and his constant fidgeting after hours. Thanks for review and stay safe in these crazy times!

Hey James! Long time no talk!
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I can totally understand that... it is and interesting design, and definitely won’t click with everyone. I don’t love it either.
That’s awesome to hear, and I’m not surprised at all. It is very well made for the price point, and simply at that, so there’s not a lot that can go wrong. Glad to hear it can stand the test of time and abuse.
Thanks buddy! All the best to you and yours, and hope you guys are pulling through this relatively unscathed.

@@inthepocket7405 You too Kenny! Take this crap seriously and be safe brother!
BTW ..I had 3 level cervical neck fusion last June , So lots of home recuperation time on top of the cancer crap. You inspired me to try and give back to knife community. I started a Channel of just short vids showing and letting people know when available. ..mostly on Spydercos. Been fun so far! Since I don't use social media except TH-cam , I'm not growing very fast, But obviously I'm not doing it for that reason. I've met some unbelievable people through the channel, Which has been the best gift so far. Keep up the good work Kenny.

I've had mine for about 6 months, and I really enjoy it. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. 3.5" button lock in 14C28N. Right up my ally. I've had no problems with centering or blade play. For the price, I think they hit it out of the park. It's a great fidget knife.
I agree with everything you said about this one. I'm surprised there aren't more people loving this knife. Somehow it seems to have flown under the radar of the knife community.
Great review. I like your hype vs reality series..it's a really good review system.

I don't think I can own one of these. Two nights in a row, Beth threatened to stick in somewhere unspeakable, if I didn't stop playing with it! 😬

Great review! I hadn't heard of it until Neeves and then OCD4EDC reviewed it. Looks like a solid user that would be fun to fidget with. Gonna have to pick one of those up!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s definitely not getting it’s due attention in the community. It absolutely is, and I think you will enjoy it. Right on buddy!

I have one of these. First button lock I ever got and man it's sweet. 14c took a wicked edge too. It's got a super smooth action. Great budget knife fidget toy

Nice! Yeah, it’s a super smooth knife, and button locks definitely have an addictive action👌

  • @davidh0159

I find mine to be very fidgety. Holding the button allows the knife to fall completely shut with no help at all. And I have absolutely no lock rock of any kind on mine. The only reason I don't carry it more is that handle seems just a bit too smooth for me - almost slippery with the coating they put on it.

    • @inthepocket7405
      @inthepocket7405  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Nice! You got a good one👍 I feel like that’s how a lot of them are, and I think mine was more of an exception. I can understand that, and that’s why I takes about it a little bit. It is pretty slick...
