- This is an unboxing and first impressions video of the limited edition Benchmade Mini Adamas, made for SHOT show 2022. It has red Micarta scales and Cruwear steel.
I have this exact limited edition model. It's perfect! Love the burgundy handle! Has a nice weight and feel to it. Not sure what material they use but it has the feel of a wood handle almost with a little grip to it. BEAUTIFUL knife! They knocked it out of the park with this one. Mine has 0 blade play btw😉
Awesome! Knifecenter had this exact knife on sale for $175 several months ago, glad I had the chance to pick up one. The mini Adamas is a great knife. Thanks for sharing brother!
What color handle?
I've been eyeing this exact knife for a while now ever since I put one in my hand at Bass Pro shop.. They just went on sale for 175$ at knife center and snagged one.. Very stoked because benchmade stuff hardly ever goes on sale
Damn good price. I price matched grabaguns quote for 195 and I'm happy, 175 would have been nice though haha. Great grab man!
Nice knife. I got one of these a year ago, a regular one, not limited. Very nice, very tough, very well made. After it breaks in, the lock stick disappears, and it gets so smooth it drops shut.

I love this clip! Even better than the griptilian clip. Just right for this knife imo.
I have the full size cruwear adamas and love it. It’s a little thinner overall than the original from back in the day. I have huge hands and it’s super comfortable. Those are dope scales tho, if they made that configuration in a large I would prob buy it
Awesome Luke! I would like to handle a full size eventually. I don’t mind bigger knives, and I like this a lot. Yeah, I really dig the scales on this, and benchmade finished them nicely.

What happened with the benchmade bailout?
Just bought the mini and full size flat earth versions. I wanted the matching set. It was on sale at the military exchange where prices for Benchmade are already discounted. So it was a deal that I could not pass up. I'm kinda torn whether I should have purchased the full size because I already have the older version with D2 steel and I haven't carried it all that much. Its still like new. But I have read that they have slimmed down the full size plus its got the Cruwear steel. I need to find an outlet to start selling some of these knives that haven't seen much use. I watched your video on the knife addiction and I can completely concur. I've got all the knives I could ever use in a lifetime and some are so nice that they never get used because I want to keep them in pristine condition. When does the insanity end. Hahaha
Got the same one at Cabelas $199. The regular black one was $225.

I'm not one to be picky about pocket clips at all but the mini deep carry clip is a lot more comfortable in MY hand anyways. Also mine is right around 18 thou bte, I sharpened 3 times now and the edge is doing a lot better. Good stuff though man always valued your opinion over any other knife youtubers.
The Adamas is such a great knife, I wish I would have gotten one, if you get in good with Bryan from Transparent knives he has an hrc tester 👍
Hey Jared, I've got the new auto adamas in cruwear. I may be willing to trade for one of your knives plus I just got a micro tech ultratech hellhound signature series I think M390 anyway I either don't have strong enough hands to open and close the knife or it's just to skinny for me to grip the knife tight enough to operate the switch otherwise I'd want to keep it because I just got it Friday. Plus I wanted to ask if you could do something for me. I have a Medford 187 tanto that has the black PVD coating on the blade and I'm trying to find someone that could mirror polish just the tanto tip. I would do it myself but I don't have any of the diamond stones I would need to do it and it would cost me hundreds of dollars to buy everything I'd need.
I like it a lot so far. I could definitely ask Brian if he would test it, but he’s got his plate a bit full at the moment haha
@@inthepocket7405 I would love to see what Benchmades cruwear actually tests. They claim 63 to 65 but you never know for sure until it's tested. I know it verys between different blades but it would still be cool to get one HRC tested.

It’s more of a burgundy/maroon color then dark red. I don’t normally care for micarta but this one is sick. It’s a worker not a slicer.

I love how that Cerakote looks fresh out the box, but coated blades get ugly fast lol
Exactly. Most coating tend to look bad after a while, and especially benchmade’s. I definitely prefer a plain blade. I can always remove it, and do an acid etch/ stone wash or something.

I've got the auto adamas in cruwear and it's a pretty cool auto with more kick than a pro tech knife or at least the pro tech/strider sng. Which is the only protech that I own. I've been thinking about getting the mini adamas.
Nice! I’ve been really surprised by the kick in benchmade autos, actually. A few of the guys at my work have them, and they have a hell of a kick. More than my Emerson Pro tech.
@@inthepocket7405 do you have any micotech knives? I just got a ultratech hellhound signature series 3.4 inch blade a few days ago and I have to use 2 hands to open and close It. The handle is to skinny for me to get a good enough grip on it to manipulate the switch. It really sucks, it's my first micro tech and I just assumed it wasn't for child size hands. Anyway I'm gonna have to send it back I guess and try to find a combat troodan either the hellhound tanto or the double edge dagger blade. Or if I can find one of the halo VI models that would be even better. If you know someone that would be interested in my ultratech hellhound signature series 3.4 inch. I'd sell it for whatever it cost me minus what I paid for tax and I'd split the shipping cost to whoever buys it. I bought the last one so they aren't in stock unless I end up just sending it back to blade hq then I guess blade hq will have mine for sale. Lol.. I'd be interested in a trade plus or minus money to go with the trade just depending knife value.

@@inthepocket7405 Partially aesthetics (although there are some exceptions in that regard) and part just having more little areas to have to clean when gunk gets inside and gunk being able to get inside the handle more easily.
It's not a huge deal, but I don't want to go buy a knife with a high chance that I'll want to modify it. I would much rather mod something I think I'll like/do like to be more personalized etc.

I can understand that thought process, but it occurs with a lot of axis lock knives. They try to accomplish that solid lock up with a drop shit action, which is a very fine line, and not always possible due to tolerance execution variance. I would rather a knife be solid, than “drop shutty” , but a lot of this community is the opposite.

I have this exact model/color etc.. Mine has ZERO blade play. I'd send it back to be adjusted.
