- This is an unboxing and first impressions of two knives, one being the Emerson A-100, and the Protech manufactured Emerson CQC-7 automatic knife. There will be more extensive hype vs reality reviews on both of these knives eventually.

Yeah, Knife Center did that to me with a Hogue Deka in January. And they went on "backordered" with no notice from knife Center. It was quick and easy to cancel, but that seems to be the new normal at KC.

I had a similar ordering experience with a non knife company. Ordered something it said was in stock. Didn't get an email confirming it so 3 days later i emailed them and was told they were out and didn't expect to get anymore until next spring!
I really wish Emerson would make some standard 50/50 edge bevels.

I love the designs and ergos but out of four or five Emerson folders I’ve owned only one didn’t have lock, pivot, or bladeplay problems. The one that didn’t was the hd7 framelock.
I’m glad ZT is making some Emerson designs and that Protech CQC7 has definitely been tempting me.
They sell well so clearly they aren’t over priced but for my money there are way better “work” knives out there.
That’s interesting, because in my experience, I had a lot more problems with Zt. Their heat treat is crap, and they won’t stand behind it. I’ve had lock and pivot issues with the zt’ dice had, and the opposite with Emerson 🤷🏽♂️

Get one you won't be disappointed. I personally don't care for the wave. I don't like my knife opening everytime I take it out.
Gp Knives and USA Made Blade have the best shipping by far. My orders always go out the same day.

Never had a problem with KC, but that sucks. I've bought a bunch of Demkos from them.
I never had a problem either, until recently. Honestly, I would rather help out the small guys anyways, although it is hard to pass up the deals those bigger retailers have sometimes.
Good video I like GP knives service. Knife center won’t be getting any of my money that’s bs .

I’m in Livonia Michigan we got case in the state . But this is nuts my wife off work for 2 weeks with pay . I’m thinking there going take us to war . All this for a virus the flu has killed over 22,000 this year like it alway does never shut down the country over the flu . Stay safe my friend .
