Thanks for this review as we are considering a new MG ZS 2024 manual transmission. As far as wired Apple or Android connections: I believe that for less than A$50 you can purchase a wireless adapter - you could keep the adapter in the car and when you start the car, Apple CarPlay or Android will connect wirelessly. (If any viewers have installed such an adapter, be great to hear your comments). // As to the side view mirrors folding - sounds just like my Volvo S60 which is 14 years old- same sound for 14 years - same as this - I think it’s just the sound it makes! What I can say is that if these are the only negatives after 3 years and 16,000 km - NOT BAD! It seems the seats, motor, electrical system, brakes, handling, rust, sensors and more are all doing GR8! If not be good to hear about any mechanical or even other features that are positive (or negative) after 16,000 km. Thanks again!!!!!

When I test drove this car, I found the sound for the front passangers was very good, enough.... But for the back passangers it was very bad, the back speakers in the side doors are just not loud enough. If we just try to replace them with after market speakers somthing like JBL with build in tweeters, It should be better. Have you tried to remove the side door pannels too see what size and shape those speaker drivers are?

It's disappointing that the brakes ( both discs and pads failed and needed to be replaced so soon ) but as you said it doesn't mean the car itself is bad. Drive it for a number of years first and then decipher where it's a good or bad car.

Dimitri would be cool if you make a video about negotiating the DOTD [DriveawayOutTheDoor] price of a brand new car in Australia. Many would find it useful. Things like [1] how to find out the legit price the dealership paid for the car that you want ; [2] to be aware that the dealership gets a 2.75% - 3.25% holdback (kickback) bonus of-the-MSRP from the car manufacturer for selling that car you bought ; [3] the dealership gets an end of month big-cash-bonus if they met the monthly-sales-target hence it good to goto the dealership on the 2nd last / 3rd last day of the calendar month to buy your car [4] get the window-tinting / fabric protect / paint-protect done from the 3rd party once you get the car or get the dealership to match/beat the cheaper 3rd party pricing

we need more real buttons and knobs, not everything integrated into that small screen and have to press that small icons for a temp adjustment

I can relate to the getting sick. Been driving Leaf (FWD) for many years, always used high regen and no problem. Then I swapped to RWD Tesla 3 and on longer journeys I can get sick. Haven't thought about it until I watched your video, but I now believe it's related to the RWD, as the MG4 also is. We are used to, when applying friction brakes, any ICE uses front brakes dominantly. But when regen with RWD, of course, the car only "brakes" at the rear. This should results in the wheight-transfer being very different as to front-brakeing.. And I believe this "unorthodocs" way of slowing down is the culprit of the motionsickness.. Nice that you can adjust regen, sadly on Tesla you can't... My wife doesn't feel the same way in the Tesla, but unlike her, I very easily get motionsicknes on anything going round and round (rollercoaster), swing etc...

Looks the goods! Another great video. Have to disagree regarding the sunroof comments though. Unless it’s pouring down rain, I literally use mine every time I drive. I love it still even after 2+ years! 😊

Just to add in engineering mode, you can change Android Auto Apple carplay to wireless.So you do not need to use the wire.If anybody wants to know how?Just give me a reply and I'll sort out a way to show you.

The boot space lets it down to what could be a very value driven vehicle for our market.

Australia gets the wheel-on-door version, so that eliminates that criticism. Savage Tech Australia have already started modding their Tank 500 with a 2-inch suspension lift and bigger wheels and tyres. Plus a blacked out grill to get rid of that huge chunk of chrome.

I work in a GWM licenced service centre, and to this day (i see this review is now 1yr old), to this day, everyday, pple come in asking can we turn off the lane assist permanently bc it is aggressive that it frightens them 😂 Otherwise, pple love this car.

Does it work with all major android auto apps? The reason I ask, is that I notice some adapters do not support all apps.

Is your LDV the diesel model? If so, the reving sounds like normal automatic PDF cleaning of the vehicle The squeaky brakes are due to the soft compound brakes used to grip the rotors for better stopping on a large, new vehicle. This causes brake dust & the sqeak 9.9 times out of 10. Give the wheels a good pressure hose out, or ask a mechanic to clean them (pressure cleaning will do the trick tho). Incidentally, having soft compound brakes to better grip also means you will be well due for new brakes & rotors by the 40K service (usually front only). I work with LDVs. If it IS petrol, & not diesel, i wouldn't say that high reving is normal & would advise you monitor & even record it when safely possible 😊

The excessive revving when rolling down hill is the effect of engine braking. That is typical of small engines. Engines of roughly three litres and above generally don't suffer this issue.

In case you didn’t know, they actually make the Land Rover Evoque for Land Rover for the Chinese market. So I am not surprised at all if some design element is borrowed.

We had a look at one a couple of weeks ago by chance when we were car shopping (South Africa). Looks great (didn't test drive) but do wonder how well they will sell at their price points (and another unknown sub-brand which people probably won't research the origins). I suspect many people might pass on the luxury and slot into a mid spec Japanese competitor. Chery has done phenomenally here so they might surprise again if they market correctly.

Done the currency conversion and the Australian price for the car is within Elia's estimation 4 mill rubles = 66328 AUD which makes the top of the range 73k = 4.4 mill rubles . Awesome 😊.

So which other boxy cars lift the rear wheels on breaking?!?
