I know the feeling. Scraped my 20" black wheels on my old car last year and I'm not sure if the scrape of the wheel was louder than the breaking of my heart haha

Hi Dimitri. A Happy New Year to you, even though the Subaru had a scrape. Sorry to hear that. Our Haval H6 Ultra was run into last Saturday while my wife was shopping. Unfortunately, no witnesses and no note left. Luckily the Centre Management CCTV captured the collision. The car is badly damaged and will go in for repair soon. So our year didn't start too well either. Stay Safe and I hope the remainder of the year treats you well. Cheers again, Chris on the Sunny Coast. 😎👍
Hey Chris, sorry for late reply - holidays and all... And very sorry your Haval got hit, maaate, I hope the insurance covers it with the help of CCTV proof? Does your insurance replace "new for new" or they just pay for repair?
Hi Dimitri@@ValueCarsAU They're are just paying for the repair. It's getting two new doors and the rear quarter panel above the rear wheel is getting pulled out and providing there is no damage behind there, the panel will get repaired. Hello Dimitri, sorry to hear about you the little damage of new car, you can repair just by using diswashing soap! all you need just few drop of dishwashing liquit I use morning fresh dishwashing liquit the same one the people use around the kitchen! with a firm sponge or firm rag, circle motion leave the soap for a bout 5 minute with hot soape water repeat again and most of the scracth will be gone! can also wash the car with it,I have been using for many years without any proplem my cars always look new! my last car was Kia Cerato it still look brand new after had it for over 7 years.... you also can use those kitchen Chux Superwipes to fix the scrach an also you can wash the car as well....
Please do not wash your car with dish soap. It is corrosive and the wrong PH level. It will fade and ruin your paint.
Would that work on plastic though, not paint? I've decided not to risk it and just leave it... Thank you for your suggestion though!
That's one of the reasons I prefer buying used, my first little dent on a new car and I need six months of therapy.

Get yourself some prepsol, wipe it of and don't worry about it until you choose to sell. By that time replacement bits will be cheap as chips

My son reversed a 2009 navara into a pole with reverse camera and sonar fitted into bumpers it fkn beeps,still managed to cause damage.

you got off lightly dont stress. ! pretty much why they have opted for so much plastic cladding for shopping centre biffs and bumps. in a few months you wont even notice it with a bit of weathering.

Before you know it, you will be edified and smiling even more after you master your repairs. A video on this product is also good😉 material for your show.
Thanks mate, I thought plastic is pretty much a done deal thing, as it's manufactured that way and there's no "buffing" or covering up with other paint that you can do? I'll check.... It's not too bad either way.
Shit happens! my wife reversed her car out of our drive way and hit my car parked on the road near the drive way lol that was 15 years ago both camrys oh what a feeling....

oh no. yet, maybe you can consider filming a video regarding the repair work. BTW, have you ever heard of Schmick car protection? I bought a new car lately and paid $800 for 3 years. They will come and repair for that kind of scatch for $50. Unlimited times for 3 years but pay $50 each. I suggest everyone to buy if they buy new car from dealer
I decided to leave it, as it's not too bad - it's just the initial shock of scraping it that got me... But thank you for the insight.
Well my 2021 Touring is up for sale, been a good car but still not as good as Subaru used to be.
What made you decide to sell it mate?
Dimotri, this is an easy fix. Go and let it be polished by some professional, and it will be fixed 100%. The damage is only on the clear coat, and not the paint it self :)
If it was paint, your comment would be on point! But it's on plastic! 🙄
