MG 4 EV is a great value for money electric vehicle to own in Australia in 2024. What makes MG4 EV so good? Dimitri would be cool if you make a video about negotiating the DOTD [DriveawayOutTheDoor] price of a brand new car in Australia. Many would find it useful. Things like [1] how to find out the legit price the dealership paid for the car that you want ; [2] to be aware that the dealership gets a 2.75% - 3.25% holdback (kickback) bonus of-the-MSRP from the car manufacturer for selling that car you bought ; [3] the dealership gets an end of month big-cash-bonus if they met the monthly-sales-target hence it good to goto the dealership on the 2nd last / 3rd last day of the calendar month to buy your car [4] get the window-tinting / fabric protect / paint-protect done from the 3rd party once you get the car or get the dealership to match/beat the cheaper 3rd party pricing
Hmm, very interesting and clearly educated request, thank you... I'm not a car sales expert though mate, and it's probably a rabbit hole I'm not qualified for and wouldn't realistically have enough personal time and interest in. High-level stuff - how to buy, what method to use, yep, my jam. But I'll keep your request in mind and appreciate it.
@@ValueCarsAU thanks for the reply, cool and I totally understand what you mean - it sure can be a rabbit-hole sometimes. When you or people you know closely (family, friends, workmates) go-to buy a brand-new car - do you all pay the normal price that the salesman quotes first-up, without haggling [negotiating]?

Hello fellow Ozzie. Are you sure that is Excite 64 or Essence 64?
It definitely didn't feel like a top of the range Essence. Cloth inside, no panoramic sunroof... Yes, I'm pretty sure it must have been Excite 64 (or whatever the longer range model is).
@@ValueCarsAU None of the MG4 models have panoramic sunroof. Essence models have mixed of leather and cloth seats. The reason I asked you is because those wheel hubs look like from Essence models, Excite models have different wheel hubs.
I can relate to the getting sick. Been driving Leaf (FWD) for many years, always used high regen and no problem. Then I swapped to RWD Tesla 3 and on longer journeys I can get sick.
Haven't thought about it until I watched your video, but I now believe it's related to the RWD, as the MG4 also is.
We are used to, when applying friction brakes, any ICE uses front brakes dominantly. But when regen with RWD, of course, the car only "brakes" at the rear. This should results in the wheight-transfer being very different as to front-brakeing.. And I believe this "unorthodocs" way of slowing down is the culprit of the motionsickness..
Nice that you can adjust regen, sadly on Tesla you can't...
My wife doesn't feel the same way in the Tesla, but unlike her, I very easily get motionsicknes on anything going round and round (rollercoaster), swing etc...
Interesting insights, thank you for sharing. I have very limited - almost none - experience driving EVs so it's all new to me, and maybe that's also why I get such a violent reaction to the change of natural motion of vehicle.

Once they've face lifted it (end of the year, I'm being told), then it'll be worth my (and your) while 😉
We just talked to the MG dealer, and been told that they will bring a brand new HS hybrid, not a face lift, next year.
Well, I was told face lift, you were told brand new - the point is that one should wait, if they are dead-set on an MG HS, but frankly speaking - there are SO many pretty good options out there... I just don't know who and why would bother waiting if you need a car now?
