I've only used it very briefly and checked TH-cam streaming and maps - both looked appropriate. Averagely acceptable performance, is what I'd call it

How would you power it without your car's 12 volts and where would you display the user interface if not on your car's infotainment system? Or, most importantly, WHY do it before you plug it in? I'm missing the point of this struggle.

Hi Dimitri season greetings ! Something you might want to try once you connect to Wifi tap the i button and it gives you the option to Auto connect. the unit should connect automatically eachtime you turn on the car. Hope you are loving the Subaru - better car since Toyota bought in

Great suggestion mate, I'm still learning the ins and outs of Subaru, thank you. Yes, loving *most* of it, but a handful of things are "worse" than I've had in my Haval H6 - will talk about that soon!
