Just a guy that was born and raised in Kentucky with Barbecue and Bourbon in my blood. I started this channel to share my knowledge and love of backyard BBQ because nothing brings people together like good food. I'm from Kentucky so my main focus is Chicken, Pork, and delicious sides. Hell, I didn't eat brisket (other than corned beef) until I moved to Nashville in 1994 😂. It's my goal to show you easy step-by-step ways to cook better BBQ so that you can enjoy time with your friends and family without having to spend a ton of money. I firmly believe anybody can learn to cook great food, you just need to practice. Remember you weren't born walking, if you can learn to walk you learn to cook. 👍🏾
Charcoal Grilling School: Uncle Bird's Charcoal BBQ tips for beginners.
In this video, I will teach you everything you need to know to get started with charcoal grilling. We will cover everything from choosing the right charcoal to setting up your grill.

Exactly....no thank you. Woo. Damn
😂😂😂😂
How come you didnt add sugar like you do with the quarters?
Honestly I forgot 😁
Who don't eat the tips You crazy I hate that the Chinese stop that b*******
When you say oak can be used for smoke, what type of oak? I have 9 red oaks in my yard of a quarter acre that could use a trimming. Great video for information with a good dose of humor. Thanks.
You can use any of them. The Red Oak is about the only one that tastes different.
Love the video !!Leg quarters look 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
I'm done with any candy that has this is it really worth it to make the candy just a little shinier? I don't think so

It’s funny how every food coloring is like that. Red 40 is almost pretty much the same thing.
Yeah. I just close my eyes and enjoy! 🤣
I had to stop your video
Why?
Holy shit MF. I got the SMALL Weber, so tonight I’m just gonna straight up grill them. Marinaded in mustard, pepper, Himalayan salt, ranch, and onion powder . But SOON I’ll get a BIG Weber.
Should be good. How did they turn out?

I picked up some leg qtrs for Memorial Day. Great vid. 🎉
Oh yeah 😁
It can kill us the people there are used to it from generations what I seen on another video!
It's a no for me dog.
Enjoyed the video. I knew I could git wit your program when you stressed seasoning underneath the skin!!!!!!!! I have watch a million videos where THEY don't season, or brine. Just a little sprinkle on top of the skin. AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FUH DAT!!!! Thank you for telling the truth!!!!!! Question? Is there a way to get the skin krispy, or is that the price you have to pay for easy-bite-thru skin? Thanks, Man!!
Usla?
❓
Yes. Much better than artificial red.
Yes sir.
Did you know that almost all mayan, most native American, wall and cave paintings are made with red dye from cochineal bug dye, asian silks have used the dye for over 1000 years and even European countries like England used ot for royal clothing dye and to dye their red military coats. Did you know that there used to be a Red #2 but it was found to cause cancer in the 1970s!!!!! So, if I have to eat a little alcohol treated bug to NOT GET CANCER, then break put the bug dye!!! Every food we eat has an allowable bug parts percentage that is always expected to be in our food items, and those are not farmed or treated!!! So I do not know what your issue is, or why you are complaining? at least the farmed bugs are cleaned and treated!!!
❤
Man, this is right on. You got it all figured out. I do many big cooks alone myself and you work similar to myself. My routine gets knocked off center when my coworkers want to help. I explain to them “my process,” watch them perform it and once I feel comfortable, I leave them to it. Periodically checking in on them. Then after an hour or so of them working on the protein, I recognize they are not doing anything I showed them. They’re doing what they do at home, and man I can’t stand working with people who carelessly handle food prep. So if have spent as much as 36 straight hours cleaning/prepping chicken and ribs. Thank you brother for sharing.
That is the best way. I have a system down but then when I get help they always want to do it their way.
Sound like rapper 😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The uncle I never knew I had. I knew bbqing was in our family tree. Thank you
You bet!
Apparently, India is not too gross
Are you sure the salt water is not gonna make it to salty me and my mother can’t have salt because we have bad hearts
If you concerned about the salt you remove the chicken from the brine sooner and rinse it. Remember most of the salt will be poured down the sink. 💪🏾
Yum 😋
😋
