    Loved this. Thank you for using science to explain why a $10 bottle of bird brine is only seasoning your sewer pipes and not your chicken. Will definitely be using this going forward.

    So I was like ok I brined my chicken right. Straight out the brine and deep fried. Then I thought about calcium chloride and how it makes pickles crunchy and then I though about this vinegar mixture that Walmart sells. Now I must experiment again. I don’t like iodized salt I use kosher or sea salt and my chicken be tasting soooooo good. Anyways your video popped up and now I watching it lol

      Thank you. I use the regular salt because it's cheaper than Kosher or Sea Salt. You can also purchase plain salt that doesn't have the iodine in it. Super cheap as well.

      @@UncleBirdsBBQ I get my salt from dollar tree kosher or seasalt and the Asians store sells big 5lb sea salt for $2.49
      I’m not a fan of iodized bc a person can pour too much or let it sit too long and it will become too salty. Have you tried cornstarch brine. It makes the chicken tender too it’s amazing

      @@UncleBirdsBBQ I’ve never seen plain salt hmmmmmm imma look for it but I know how to make a solution so it won’t be too salty ya know. Thanks for sharing great content

    I prefer to use seasoned salt on outside of chicken. How much less salt do you think I should have in brine?

      Seasoned salt will have ingredients other than salt in them but they are usually negligible. I would still use the same amount of salt in the recipe.

    Could this brine be used if we planned to FRY chicken, instead of smoking it? And if so, I guess we'd still use salt free seasoning in the flour...🤔🤔 What's your thoughts, unc?

      It works for fried chicken too. I normally still add a little salt in the flour. 😀

    When you get done Brian it do you season it with your own seasonings or is just best to place it on the grill I thought it was good to mix it all up in the brine water

    • @UncleBirdsBBQ
      @UncleBirdsBBQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always season with a salt free seasoning after the brine. If you add it to the brine you will just pour it down the sink. 👍🏾
