adidas adizero Prime X 2 Strung
For the past 7 months, I’ve been looking for a shoe that could bring these tired legs back to life. A shoe that offered comfort, stability, pop and excitement. And to my surprise, the adidas adizero Prime X 2 Strung was that shoe.
At $300, the price tag will be very tough for most to swallow. But for those who are looking for top of the line running shoe innovations and a super responsive ride, look no further.
The Prime X 2 Strung is sure to keep your run fun, light and bouncy. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Hoka Skyward X
มุมมอง 3076 หลายเดือนก่อน
The HOKA Skyward X is the newest max cushioned, carbon plated daily trainer offering from a brand that in my opinion hadn’t quite hit the mark in this category, until now. While the likes of the Bondi X and Mach X left more to be desired, the Skyward X checks all of the boxes for me when it comes to comfort, responsiveness and most importantly, fun. HOKA is on the board in the competition for b...

ASICS Novablast 4 | And an injury update...

One of the most anticipated follow-up shoes in 2023 was the Novablast 4, ASICS sequel to the heavily favored daily trainer of 2022. The latest iteration sees ASICS doubling down on comfort and compatibility, and for the most part, it works. While I was not able to personally put the Novablast 4 through the paces like I would typically get to, I did enjoy what miles I could log, including a snow...
2023 Shoes Of The Year

What a year. I ran more than 2600 miles! Two marathons and more laps around the track than I care to count. 2023 is almost over and it’s time to take a look back on the shoes that were the most exciting and fun to run in. I was able to take more than 20 shoes for a spin this, and these were my favorite of the bunch. All of these shoes are available at Running Warehouse: www.runningwarehouse.com...

How was the 2023 NITE Ride in downtown Indy?
❤❤❤❤
Just bought this
Great video, im a heavier runner, perfect as a daily trainer because it is not squeeshy like sc trainer and not heavy as the bondi
ordered a pair two weeks ago. now they aren't available anymore
hey what size did you get for wide feet? as in, did you 1/2 size up or anything?
I just bought takumi sen 10, it's seems tooo light, did I get a fake one??
Kofuzi ripoff lol
Great review. I have a little over 50 miles on my pair and I love them, and I agree with everything you said. Btw, my US mens size 10 came in at 11.15 ounces (316 grams), but I feel so much propulsion from the shoes that I hardly notice the weight.
How does it compare to the Skyward X? Both seem pretty protective
@@bobgibson1303 the Skyward X is a bit more aggressive with its carbon plate and the foam is a bit more firm. Both are super squishy, and premium options, though 👍🏻
I think the Skyward is a much better shoe in every aspect except for one, but that is very important. Skyward is like running on springs that keeps pushing you from the back like a powerboat's engine. Very comfortable, very protective, fun ride. I found it excellent as long as you don't want to run quick, lets say under 5:00/km. However, Prime X2 MAKE you run fast, definitely at least with 5:00/km to enjoy it, otherwise it is just a dense brick. I found the Skyward a lot more comfortable, also softer and more convenient in general.
So the PXS2 isn't for easy running where as the Skyward X is? I will try to grab a pair of the Skyward X on sale, was able to get the PXS2 on sale and found them pretty good for recovery efforts. PXS1 did not work well at all for me at slow paces and wanted me to go faster@@henya2409
Got the exact shoe but struggle to get a good lockdown. Changed the laces a bit better. Yes you do feel the weight on tiered legs but as a long run training shoe its great. Not a race shoe for me👍p.s bought mine 40% off wouldnt pay rrp.
Thanks for the review! Im debating between this one and skyward x for lsd and easy runs. Im 185lb so looking for a little extra cushion under my feet. I do have low arch which often dictates what shoe I wear. Would you say prime or skyward has lower arch support? Hope you fully recover soon!!!
@@anonymousturtle0921 I would say the Prime X 2. The skyward isn’t quite as cushioned and is slightly more aggressive with its forked carbon plate. It’s cheaper though! And for the record, they’re both premium, super cushioned, super fun shoes.
Coming from someone who owns the X strung 2, there is a better option than both of those options, I know they are impossible to buy for now, but the superblast 2, to me is significantly better. I haven't tried the skyward, but I've never heard anyone say they prefer it to the Adidas. And for reference, I'm 220lb.
@@olivernalen I’m 50 miles into the Superblast 2 right now. I do agree that it’s a great super daily trainer, but I’m not sure that I would compare them yet. I’ll have thoughts soon!
@@chris_jonzeyI agree. I don't really think they are comparable. But if someone is looking for a max stack trainer, the SB2 is what I would recommend. If you are building a 'rotation" of at least 3-4 shoes, then that's where you can make a better, more niche case for the Prime X 2 Strung.

How was the fit in the midfoot? Wide midfooter here😅
@@arvinsandiego2686 I am too! But I found it to be pretty comfortable all things considered.
I loved the version 1 but don’t dare use it unless I have a run on good roads. Adidas midsoles take some beating
Great review!
Glade you up and run well again.
my right foot is 26.6 cm to the longest toe(2nd toe) and left is 27 cm with average foot width 10.5 cm I wear Nike and brooks usually in size US 10 with a thumb or slightly more space at front. Brooks glycerin 21 size US 10 Wide 2E almost fits good but slightly narrow in the midfoot now I have ordered online new balance rebel v4 and 1080v13 in size US 10 and width 2E both. Will they fit for me or not just wanted to ask because as according to chart my size exactly is US9 but in running shoes I heard to size half or full size up
good job! very cool video
I’ve ran in invincible run 3’s for about a year now, and I will say that they held up amazingly for me. Recently though, I have realized that as my foot has grown, I am having wider feet. Currently obsessed with the look and feel of the invincible model, so I’m thinking about buying the wide model. Anybody have thoughts on that wide model? Is it better?
What shoes do you recommend for people with wide feet?
@@MarkoAssi_pokervlogger I’ve had really good luck in Saucony and ASICS shoes for the most part! But all models are different. As far as a super daily trainer, I can easily recommend the ASICS Superblast and the Saucony Kinvara Pro for max cushion.
I am 5 5" looking to date but women like tall men, so this ones will help
💯👌🏻💯👌🏻
I love the Superblast
I use the Takumi Sen in 1 mile races through the Marathon. Great shoe. The past participle of RUN is RUN. Has run. Have run.
Insanely good channel😊
Thank for a review. If you already have superblast, which show you gonna buy surfer or eclipse? (For daily run and casual wear)
Eclipse for sure! But I love aggressive stack heights, so I’m a little biased 😅
@@chris_jonzey If I run at slow pace 7-8 min/kilo and my weight is 125 lbs. Do you think the eclipse will be too firm for me? Sometime when I use superblast at those pace it make me go faster than I want and Hearth rate go way too high.
In regard to the shoe, it’s been great for me holding more consistent paces, something I generally struggle with. My typical variation is between 10-15 seconds per km, however with this it is closer to 5 seconds.
I am positive I subscribed previously…….however on finding this video it seems I wasn’t. Either way, I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to seeing more.
this shoe is not good with high arch, or underpronator. It's kinda heavy to run, maybe an insole customized can be appropriate fit to feel the ride of this shoe
Glad to have this review. Hope your recovery is a speedy one. Never fun.
Agree 👍 awesome shoe.
I must be the lucky One who has no issues with premium Nike running shoes...The Invincible Run is a shoe that barely needs an introduction. It’s among the most (if not the most) comfortable max-cushioned trainers that we put on our feet. No heel slippage for me. The breathability test is a solid 4/5. Takes me 30 seconds to lace them up. Definetly not a shoe for you, it's like giving NUTS to some One that has no teeth.
I hope you video next year
Que talle y peso tienen? Gracias
Chris, I wish you the best with your surgery and recovery. Great review of the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, and happy to see you back! How about those Tracksmith socks you were wearing? Anything to say about them?
nice and slow review. is the mesh breathable? considering to pick it up.
Nice review. Going to grab myself a pair!

400 miles ! ! !
I own a pair of the Saucony Pro 3’s and absolutely love them. I am training for a 100km road run and I use these for my weekend long runs which are currently at 32km and my speed sessions. They have done about 350km and I would easily buy them again. Thanks for your fantastic video.👍😊
Great video Chris. I bought my Vaporfly Next% last year and I felt like a complete fraud as I'm a below average runner. But they made a big different to my running and recovery.
I want to try these. I have the ASICS gel nimbus 25 and the trabuco max 2. Both I’m happy with. I just got a size too small so I’m switching up a size because my toes are bruised and blistered.
Chris, the controversial question: for slower marathon runners, who are losing their running form and mechanics after 30-40K, all tired up and aiming for times in the 4 hour range, is this the proper shoe? We’re talking average paces of 6 min /km or 10 min / mile here…I have read everywhere that the shoe is “unforviging” because it’s demanding and the foam is on the firm side, tiring factors to be on it for 4 hours. In other words, “Not for the average runner”.
Great question! I would recommend a super daily trainer, something like the New Balance SC Trainer or the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4.
Man I’m not sure how you can say these are a firm ride. I’ve got the Invincible 3, the Nimbus 25 and these. I think the Ghost Max compare to those max-cushions really well. I don’t find them firm at all
I keep hearing it's firm So it's not firm ? Lol
Probably weight dependent. As an over 200 pound runner, I find these shoes to be perfectly soft. The 1080 v13 is mush for me so I guess that means it is firm by comparison.
Most amazing shoe of all time. I don't see me running in anything else. So much protection and bounce. Just a beautiful ride.
How long / many miles do these super shoes last?
The fit is so narrow around the forefoot. Anyome experience the same?
Wonderful Content! Thanks for sharing your views.
I loved running in this shoe, but the women's colors are so ugly to me.
they slide on a wet road, and turns and in mud... be careful
