I tried several brands of running shoes but always had plantar injuries repeatedly, and was able to recover from the plantar and run comfortably until now with Puma DN2.
Having exactly the same colorway since late May, pretty decent so far, but it feels too warm for summer. The amount of perspiration is absorbed onto the ankle pads and tongue is too much for my liking. As shared by most people, need this pair to go beyond certain mileage before the cushioning becomes more responsive. Will continue to work on them and hopefully I will like this more in autumn, winter this year.
I picked the PUMA 75 year anniversary colorway for less than $100 recently and compared to DN Elite 2 they are really substantially heavier shoe with substantially more build up upper. Definitely a training shoe. In Texas the weather is still hot and I am working on retiring some shoes. I think these will be put to regular rotation as a daily trainer starting with October.
It’s not lol it’s the Monon trail in central Indiana. It runs from Sheridan down the the heart of downtown Indianapolis, perfect for mostly all kinds of running year around.
I totally agree. It's not a shoe that's going to be soft on your legs for any long duration. If you were doing a long progression workout though and the slower miles were sprinkled throughout your session, I think this would still feel comfortable in that situation. But I don't think this is the best shoe for long, easy miles.
Honestly, I cycle through them pretty quickly, just so I can try as many as possible. My favorite right now is a toss up between the ASICS Superblast and the New Balance SC Trainer. What are you using?
I see. I'm using velocity nitro 2, ride 15, mach 4 for my dailys. I prefer a more traditional ride for my daily. I hated the SC trainer, i felt it changed the way i run in an unnatural way and gave me weird knee pain for long runs which is a shame, i really liked the first few miles in them and they were super fun but ultimately didn't work for me
@@JoutarouKuujou1 totally understand. The Mach 4 is a fantastic shoe. It’s responsive and lets you feel the ground just enough through the whole run. You might also like the Tracksmith Eliot 💁🏻♂️
Good question. I have wide feet myself, and I did not feel any massive tightness in the toe box. I’ve had issues with Hoka’s in the past, like the Mach 4 (even though I still love that shoe). I think this is a pretty comfy shoe.

Good call!
Is that the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail? I live running on that

Looks like you are mostly heel striking while running, thats why the superblast is much better for you as compared to the puma
I experienced heel slip in the first version of the Deviate Nitro, has version 2 got the same issue ?
For me, it was not an issue. I do use the runner’s knot when I lace up for every run.
Which daily trainer do you use? The deviate nitro 2 is softer than all my dailys

The eliot cost more the the superblast lol I've got 18+ pairs of running shoes so I'm good, thanks anyway
I love these and I have MANY shoes, keep reaching for them ahead of many more expensive shoes 👍🏻
Sir, Is it too narrow like Hoka shoes does?

@@chris_jonzeyyeahh tq. This is why i will buy this shoes.

Superblast is exactly 2x more expensive than deviate nitro 2 which is constantly on the sale
Oh, I know. The Superblast needs to come down to $179. Perfection at that price.
Pooma
I loved running in this shoe, but the women's colors are so ugly to me.
