You’re the ONLY person who seem to have described the same experience with the v12. Every reviewer described it as comfort + fun + able to pick up the pace if needed. Nope - like you described, I found it dull and ploddy. Absolutely hated running in it, and it gave me a persistent hot spot under the ball of my feet before the toe. Never hated a shoe that much.
Yeah I’ve never understood why so many loved it, but everyone’s different 🤷🏻♂️
I have the v13. I tried the v12 as well. I thought about getting them since they were on sale. But there was a significant difference in comfort. I am glad I stuck with v13s.
I like v12 for its looks, have the white and the blacktop. And use it for walking / to work. Never even tried to run in it. Do not believe any reviewer who say anything nice about running in it. They are pushing the company line.
v13 is something else though. It's almost Nike Invincible 2 and More V4 level squish but just a bit less to make it even better than those for both walking and running.
Where v13 falls short is in the looks department imo. But hey for a shoe, especially for daily wear or recovery runs, I doubt there is anything better out there.
my right foot is 26.6 cm to the longest toe(2nd toe) and left is 27 cm with average foot width 10.5 cm I wear Nike and brooks usually in size US 10 with a thumb or slightly more space at front. Brooks glycerin 21 size US 10 Wide 2E almost fits good but slightly narrow in the midfoot now I have ordered online new balance rebel v4 and 1080v13 in size US 10 and width 2E both. Will they fit for me or not just wanted to ask because as according to chart my size exactly is US9 but in running shoes I heard to size half or full size up

Hows the cushion in the forefoot? Heard its a bit stiff. Seems to be a hit with heel strikers
If you get a chance, head into a Dick’s Sporting Goods and squeeze these shoes. It’s impressive how much compression the foam has. For some, it could definitely be considered too soft, and somewhat unstable.
VS Ghost Max how it feels for running and walking / errands.

For walking and running errands, I’d go with the Ghost Max. For running, I think the 1080v13 is a little more forgiving on the legs.

I have had issues with hotspots on the inside of my big toe with hokas and brooks shoes. How do these compare against those? Did you have any hot spots?
I had a bit of an issue in my left big toe, but I kind of wrote it off as just getting back in the grind.
@@chris_jonzey I just got mine yesterday and tried a 5 mile run on the treadmill. My asthma has flared up so I didn’t want to run outside and make it any worse. The shoe is amazing! I’m hoping it’s as good outside. This midsole is fantastic and the upper felt really good in my feet. Easy to get a lockdown with no slipping. I hope it works out for you!
Hated 1080V12. Is the sizing similar?
Yes
Similar size to SC Trainer V2?
This felt much more accommodating than V12. Much more comfortable.
