- I love a max stack height, super squishy, daily trainer as much as the next running shoe nerd. And to that end, What I didn’t have on my 2023 bingo card, was this shoe.
A max cushion foam, stylish upper design and speedy plastic plate for energy return, all packed into On’s thickest midsole to date. This is the On Cloudeclipse, and it is a serious contender for my new favorite daily trainer.

Nice review. Going to grab myself a pair!
Been loving this shoe so far, finally was able to nab a pair and I’ve been very impressed 🔥
These seem to be great shoes for summertime ! High stack to be far from the heated ground and with a well ventilated upper.
Great video, im a heavier runner, perfect as a daily trainer because it is not squeeshy like sc trainer and not heavy as the bondi
This is the best training shoe ON has ever introduced followed by cloudsurfer 😊
Hi, Eclipse or surfer if I already have superblast and 1080v13?
i REALLY wanted to buy the new balance supercomp v1’s but i couldn’t find them anywhere, and these were my second option…
Nice video you made 🙂. like you I have a huge passion for max Cushion Shoes ❤. And also have quite a few of them in my collection 😁🫣 In my opinion, no shoe beats the Adidas Prime X.
I want to get into the Adidas Prime X soon. It’s on the list 😎
@@chris_jonzey version 1 is clearly the best. In my opinion the best running shoes ever made. and I have tried several hundred pairs of running shoes over the years
I am 5 5" looking to date but women like tall men, so this ones will help
Great video! Do you think this is a good shoe for someone that overpronates?
Thank for a review. If you already have superblast, which show you gonna buy surfer or eclipse? (For daily run and casual wear)
Eclipse for sure! But I love aggressive stack heights, so I’m a little biased 😅
@@chris_jonzey If I run at slow pace 7-8 min/kilo and my weight is 125 lbs. Do you think the eclipse will be too firm for me?
Sometime when I use superblast at those pace it make me go faster than I want and Hearth rate go way too high.
commenting because video
Can you comment on the stability? Curious about how they compare to the Superblast and SC Trainer v2. Thanks!
I would rank them from most stable to least as: Superblast, Cloudeclipse and SC Trainer V2. They are all, for the most part, very stable. Plenty of grip and width on the outsole. The Cloudeclipse is now my favorite casual shoe, too. Hope that helps!
Which is better? The ASICS Superblast or the On Cloud Eclipse? I own the ON Cloud Monster bc they were on a clearance sale and I thought they were firm and did not like them. Did not like the On Cloud Surfer either sadly.
Cloudeclipse is a squishier, softer ride. It’s very comfy and fun to run in, but the Superblast is a bit more versatile. It can do it all, easy miles, marathon pace, strides, track workouts. It’s a great shoe.
Thanks for the impressions. Can I just query what size that stack height measurement is for? I’ve seen sample size widely reported as 37mm heel, 31 forefoot for a 6mm drop.
Yes, in a men’s size 9, running warehouse has the spec sheet listing the Cloudeclipse having a Heel stack of 44 mm and a Forefoot stack of 39 mm. I couldn’t find any specs for this on On’s website.
@@chris_jonzey Thanks very much. I wonder why it’s being reported as considerably less elsewhere. Certainly looking forward to trying.
dunno what you're on but these cloudeclipse are like bricks. confused how you saying it is comfy despite u have two of the best high cushioned with you (superblast and NB)
It’s just my opinion, but I personally found them to be bouncy and comfy underfoot. I totally understand what you mean with the shoe feeling like bricks, but that just wasn’t my personal experience. Thanks!
