@@chris_jonzey Well, I’m the Vice Captain for a chapter of a national running group, named Black Men Run. Saucony makes a custom shoe for our group. Therefore, they send each chapter a few pairs of their shoes in order to test and create reviews. You can search Saucony product tester application and fill out the form. You will more than likely be approved.
I've recently switched to this shoe from Brooks GTS. I most CERTAINLY will be running a marathon. Lisbon Marathon - 2023. Come join! So, the Brooks Adrenaline is a stability shoe. - and this one in neutral. No issues through the 2 21km's I've already done. Super-stoked with my new purchase - and discovery!
I've seen so much confusion/hate for this shoe on reviews. I'm really interested in them, as a heavier jogger looking for cushion and a plate. I do love my NB SC trainers though.
Good review. I have over 100km in mine and can't stop reaching for them. Love them, the squish and bounce reminds me of the altra olympus 3 and 3.5, not the 4 thou, different feel. Spot on about it being a mileage shoe for long easy runs. Could be an ultra marathon shoe where you just want to finish it and not race it, but protect the legs from the distance. People bang on about the price, but you get nearly all the high end tech in one shoe, that you can use for 90% of your runs, not just race day and work out. I would rather pay a higher price ans protect my legs, joints etc than sit on the bench injured for weeks because I was cheap and didn't look at value.
They do share foams, but in a different construction. My understanding is that the Tempus has a PWR PB insert wrapped in a PWR foam frame. It’s also considered a stability shoe, but it’s definitely a fan favorite.
@@chris_jonzey Thanks for your reply. As a mid-low level runner (half marathon finished in 2hrs), I would like to know which pair is more suitable for my marathon race shoes - Tempus vs Kinvara Pro. ?
@@heickc that Speedroll Technology carbon plate really sets you up for success in both the Half and Full marathon effort, in my opinion. It’s aggressive, but comfortable and fun.
Thank you! The Boston 12 is definitely much more firm in the midsole and not as plush in the upper. As a daily trainer, it’s much for minimalistic than others, which can be a good thing for some.
Nice review! I love mine and tend to reach for them more than I thought I would. Do you really think regular runners should be allowed to use these in a race? I disagree. I think if someone took my age group podium spot away from me and had used one of these over height trainers I would feel cheated. Rules are rules for a reason and apply to us all regardless of level. Just subscribed, good content! 🇨🇦
Looking forward to picking these up at $80 next year
Great video! I’m enjoying mine. They also make them in wide which is nice. Mine felt like it took 40-50 miles to break them in.
I am enjoying the pair Saucony sent me to test. I actually had a PR this morning in them.
Nice! How did you get Saucony to do that? I’m all ears 😅

Some said it's an Endorphin Shift 3 with plates

That’s awesome! I would love to run the Lisbon Marathon. Maybe one day! 😅

I loved it. It was a very pleasant surprise. Especially with the divisive feedback its gotten. New Balance SC Trainer V2 review is next...
It’s the Boston 12 of Saucony?

Have you ever tried the Saucony Tempus ? It is also dual midsole composite with PWR PB and PWR normal foam.

I have the TEMPUS, terrible shoe. Very narrow and hard midsole like the Ride 15.
@@i.p2088 Tempus is a very roomy shoe and super comfortable. One of the best in the game.
Very good video, how do you compare it to the Boston 12?
