Great review. I have a little over 50 miles on my pair and I love them, and I agree with everything you said. Btw, my US mens size 10 came in at 11.15 ounces (316 grams), but I feel so much propulsion from the shoes that I hardly notice the weight.
Thanks for the review! Im debating between this one and skyward x for lsd and easy runs. Im 185lb so looking for a little extra cushion under my feet. I do have low arch which often dictates what shoe I wear. Would you say prime or skyward has lower arch support? Hope you fully recover soon!!!
@@anonymousturtle0921 I would say the Prime X 2. The skyward isn’t quite as cushioned and is slightly more aggressive with its forked carbon plate. It’s cheaper though! And for the record, they’re both premium, super cushioned, super fun shoes.
Coming from someone who owns the X strung 2, there is a better option than both of those options, I know they are impossible to buy for now, but the superblast 2, to me is significantly better. I haven't tried the skyward, but I've never heard anyone say they prefer it to the Adidas. And for reference, I'm 220lb.
@@olivernalen I’m 50 miles into the Superblast 2 right now. I do agree that it’s a great super daily trainer, but I’m not sure that I would compare them yet. I’ll have thoughts soon!
@@chris_jonzeyI agree. I don't really think they are comparable. But if someone is looking for a max stack trainer, the SB2 is what I would recommend. If you are building a 'rotation" of at least 3-4 shoes, then that's where you can make a better, more niche case for the Prime X 2 Strung.
I think the Skyward is a much better shoe in every aspect except for. one, but that is very important. Skyward is like running on springs that keeps pushing you from the back like a powerboat's engine. Very comfortable, very protective, fun ride. I found it excellent as long as you don't want to run quick, lets say under 5:00/km. However, Prime X2 MAKE you run fast, definitely at least with 5:00/km to enjoy it, otherwise it is just a dense brick. I found the Skyward a lot more comfortable, also softer and more convenient in general.
Got the exact shoe but struggle to get a good lockdown. Changed the laces a bit better. Yes you do feel the weight on tiered legs but as a long run training shoe its great. Not a race shoe for me👍p.s bought mine 40% off wouldnt pay rrp.
@@bobgibson1303 the Skyward X is a bit more aggressive with its carbon plate and the foam is a bit more firm. Both are super squishy, and premium options, though 👍🏻

So the PXS2 isn't for easy running where as the Skyward X is? I will try to grab a pair of the Skyward X on sale, was able to get the PXS2 on sale and found them pretty good for recovery efforts. PXS1 did not work well at all for me at slow paces and wanted me to go faster@@henya2409
Glade you up and run well again.

How does it compare to the Skyward X? Both seem pretty protective

How was the fit in the midfoot? Wide midfooter here😅
@@arvinsandiego2686 I am too! But I found it to be pretty comfortable all things considered.
I loved the version 1 but don’t dare use it unless I have a run on good roads. Adidas midsoles take some beating
Kofuzi ripoff lol
