    Bro you saved me 👍🏻 I had the TSA Test in Germany I couldn’t find any videos in German. Then I found your Videos and Bam I got 94% on my Test. In Germany the test is a little different it’s harder more x ray images more baggage to look at, it was on a pc I could look at 3d at the images. A little bit German and English vocabulary. A logic test and a math test. At the end I had to write why I want to work at the German TSA and what I do in my free time. That’s it…Now I have to do a lot of stuff medical check credit card…. Thanks man your videos are amazing and good to understand for non English speakers like me. I subscribed hope to get some good content in the future from you💪🏻👌🏻👍🏻 Great TH-camr

    We're difficult because we don't like having our constitutional rights violated by rent-a-cops for simply going from point A to B

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The term “rent-a-cop” implies that these are employees supplied by a private security firm, aka a corporation. TSA employees are federalized. The U.S. government has a legal duty to protect its transportation systems and the traveling public. Instead of complaining to some random guy on TH-cam, find a solution and implement it. If you are so vexed by the legalities…you do have legal instruments available to you should you elect to employ them. Or…just buy a private jet.

    • @MichaelM184
      @MichaelM184 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@theTSAguy I already have a solution, getting it implemented is the challenging part. If they really were interested in protecting the public, they would strengthen consumer protection laws, banning certain plastic products, improving cyber security protection across the board. You cannot do that by groping and harrassing passengers :)

    Thank you for the good, informative video. I’m 58 years old and am getting laid off at my current job. During interviews at non government jobs it has become clear that my age is a major obstacle. So I applied at a TSA Hiring Event yesterday and I’m off to a good start it seems. I think I’m less likely to be discriminated against about age at a federal agency job. I have a bachelor degree and have had pretty good jobs in the past. However, am I making a mistake pursuing a TSA job? Everyone starts out as part time but do they get full benefits as part time? I would like to work until I’m about 68. Does an old guy like me have a chance to move up or to a different agency in my age bracket? Please offer your opinion. Thank you.

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Govt won’t age discriminate like corporate. A lot of retired people work at TSA and they do it stay busy. You get full benefits with part time and you can move to a different federal job at any time. One my current coworkers at USCIS is a retired school principal in her 60s. She got hired in Texas right after retirement. 2 years leather she moved to my office. Federal govt actually values your years of experience. She’ll probably ride this job out into her 70s since all we do is travel. No one cares about her age and we youngins have to keep up with her lol. She’s a fun time on trips too and her years of experience as a teacher and principal helps her do her job better.

    Hi, so I’m pretty deep in the process but a little concerned. I took the CBT exam in January and completed my background in January. I didn’t hear anything hear any back until April. I completed my fingerprints, photo and drug test. I also had to correct something on my SF86 and turned it back in the same day how much longer do you think I have? Patiences is almost thin lol

      My advice is to always apply for multiple jobs. Let the process play out but keep looking for other federal jobs. Don’t put all your efforts into one place.

    I joined the TSA after getting laid off from my insurance job. Now I’m worried that I’m trapped here; if I leave, then I’m not taking advantage of the opportunity being in the FED provides me. But if I stay, I’ll be miserable and never move up. So please tell me that there are more non-fed career paths for former TSOs other than becoming a cop. Surely being a TSO looks good on a resume

    Hi, I was wondering if you had some insight or advice. I have an offer for an entry level step position, but I'm 2-4 years into the industry. The manager knows this so I asked if I could get bumped up to a comparative grade, but he refused. It's a 7,9,11,12 step for an engineering position. Is it really that difficult for them to open up a higher grade position if they like me? I've explained to the manager many times that I won't accept this pay and he's still hounding me to sign. Even entry level positions in my field would be in the 11 range and I don't feel like starting my career over on the bottom rung.

      There are hiring quotas and the office only has a certain number of slots allocated for each pay grade. The manager could make the case to HR to hire you at a higher pay grade but they need to justify it. The thing about government is that you start off with a lower salary but you’ll be right back to where you want to be in a matter of 2-3 years. You can always take the job and then ask for accelerated promotion. That’s what I did. As far as what you should do…it depends on what your end goal is and if the government job will help you get there.

    But does this information goes back to a term of years? Or the police report only goes to the 7 years deadline.

      Your police record is permanent no amount of time makes it go away. Even if you get it expunged the investigator will make you get the information or you risk a denied clearance.
