  • Going to a job interview is nerve racking enough since you have no idea what exactly you will be asked. All that stops now, in this video I teach you how to predict, prepare and practice interview questions. Being able to do this gives you a head-start on the interviewer and makes you sound less rehearsed. I didn't learn this till 3 years after college in the middle of the recession that began in 2008.

@@theTSAguy I came from California as an Executive Administrator, relocated to Florida to care for elder parents then COVID now searching again is very difficult, there is such a huge difference in salary. I am so hoping to get back into my original place of business if only they could open back up. In the meantime, it sounds like Amazon, Disney, TSA whatever I find that pays $15/hr plus

The CBT is going to be equivalent to a high school graduation exam. The whole point is to test your English skills. The test will consist of basic reading comprehension, spelling, grammar and writing skills. It will have
Reading comprehension - Read a paragraph and then answer questions on what you read to check for understanding
Spelling, grammar, writing skills - Will be exactly what it sounds like. Reading a sentence then answering questions regarding proper spelling of words, the tense of words used, punctuation and grammar.
X-ray test - This will test your color vision. So if you're red/green color blind, that will be a problem. You will be given an x-ray image and then asked to find a specific object in the image. You will need to answer if the image is there, not there, or unsure. Only 3 choices.
Unless you used x-rays in the past there is really no way to study for this part. Go to google images and search "x-ray airport images" and then go through those colored images and try to identify the objects. Objects in x-ray look different. Remember you won't see just a cell phone or camera in x-rays, you will see the skeleton of a cell phone or camera. So you will need to use Gestalt's Theory to "connect the dots" so to speak. I provided a link to the x-ray images.
When looking at the image you can use a couple methods. Think of it as the "Where's Waldo" books.
      1. In your mind, split the image into 4 squares and look for the object. Remember the object can be large enough that it would cross over into another box. For example the cord of a curling iron.
      2. Scan the image in a zig-zag pattern either left to right or top to bottom. Take your pick
      3. Just look for the object.
When I took the test it was 12 years ago and I went in cold with 0 prep. TH-cam wasn't really that big back then. So I had no idea what I was doing.
If the image looks pretty empty and you don't see the object you're looking for and you're 100% sure about this, then it's not there. If the image looks super busy and it is hard to tell what anything is then just say the object is there and move on. You get 30 secs per image, so if you don't pick an answer then it counts against you.
That's how I did it when I walked in with no training. So I guess I got lucky. This tip may or may not work for you. At the end of the day pick the answer choice you feel most comfortable with.
