    Hey Fazle! Just wanted to drop a note and thank you so much for taking the time to create this! It has been SO helpful! I followed your method step by step to re-tool my resume for my first federal job application. Tbh it made me feel like a resume genius lol, also the process helped me realize I had a lot more relevant experience than I would have thought to include otherwise. It was a real confidence booster and I’m so grateful! Will report back if I get the job!

    Thanks for the overview of the process. Although example used was for the TSA, the information is SUPER helpful in thinking through how to enter the Federal workforce from the private sector. Definitely an uphill battle trying to get into the government, but your insights should prove helpful on my path to securing a Federal job. Reconfiguring my Federal Resume with this new info. Thanks Fazle!

    I have applied for many federal government jobs with no success at all
    Your style and your information is absolutely incredible
    I trust it
    Now I am very confident the next few jobs I apply for I apply for I will at least have my resume looked at and may even get an interview
    And I guess because of my personality I always do very well at interviews
    So now I am very much more confident than I ever have been applying for federal government jobs

      Thank you for the vote of confidence!!! I don't use a set template, the format of a resume doesn't matter. Only thing hiring managers care about is content and HR cares about keywords. Send me an email and I'll send you what I use.

      My airport assessment is tomorrow at 10am and I would assume they have a copy of the resume I uploaded on USA jobs. My interview is on Webex tomorrow so they technically wouldn’t even be looking at my new resume during the interview. The only resume they will be seeing will be the one that was uploaded on USA jobs

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct, right now don't worry about your resume, just focus on the interview. I made videos about federal job interviews, watch this and your should be fine. It's not difficult at all.

    Hi Fazle, I have couple of questions about writing TSA resume. This job position only accepts resumes created using the USAJOBS Resume Builder. My Question 1.) I have had multiple jobs for all those years. And some employers that I worked for, I had different positions because of promotion. Some of the jobs or positions have "nothing" to do with the "keywords". Can I just omit those periods from the resume builder. Am I going be questioned why I have a blank or blanks of time? What had happended during the time(s)? My Question 2.) I have a high school diploma from foreign country. It is in English however it has not been evaluated by the U.S authorities. But I have an associate degree and a bachelor's degree in the U.S. Can I upload bachelor's degree diploma instead of high school diploma in the required document? And can I associate keyword English with for example... "Proficient in English language at above high school level".? Thank you for your help.

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll answer your questions in order
      1. Yes, you can omit those jobs unless you can use those keywords to describe your job duties. No one will ask about employment gaps.
      2. Just list your bachelors degree. The fact that you have higher education in the US is your proof of English proficiency. But still list the words “full English proficiency” as a skill on your resume, if you’re applying to the TSA. If not then just list your education.
      If you need help with resume writing my contact is in the description.

      @@theTSAguy Thank you for clearing up many questions that I had. It took me 4 weeks after CBT before I get the Airport Assessment. Now when it's time to fill out the E-Qip under employment activities, many people say that it has to match my resume. And since I wrote only a relevant experience for TSA job on the resume. Do I need to resubmit a resume that shows ALL my work experience to get it to match the information that I would put on the E-Qip? Thank you for your help

    • @sergeantday6979

      @@theTSAguy I have more question for you. My employer's HR and HQ is in Michigan a contractor that works for another company in California. My physical work site is at the client company in California. My work supervisor is an employee of the client company in California. I am no longer an employee. When I put information on my resume, the name and address of the company should be the one that HR located in Michigan eventhough I never stepped foot in that State? And should I enter my actual work site supervisor name, address, and phone number that located and employed by another company in California? Thank you for your help again. I know I asked for a lot this time.

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your e86 and resume will never match exactly. Your e86 will need to list every employment experience where you collected a pay check. It’s needed to gather information about you and develop a clear picture of your background. Your resume is just to list relevant experience to get you an interview. Who ever gave you that advice gave you misleading information.

    Is a career in TSA doable as in moving up from TSO to supervisory and management positions tia

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its very doable but it's also going to be an uphill battle. You're going to need to get on every additional assignment and collateral duty assignment as possible. Building a resume at TSA is not easy.
