What Happens When You Work Minimum Wage For 1 Year..?

A part-time job with a variable schedule was all I could find after college. I kept the job for a year and the experience was pure misery. I learned a lot about what it's like to be the little guy and it helped shape how I treat others today. Hopefully what I learned will help you see that things always be worse.

That's sad I was thinking goodwill would have been able to get you better shoes and clothes for cheap. I couldn't believe you didn't mention ramen. That's the best tasting cheap food you can buy. That ending made me laugh so hard lol... I do that at times also, when I see something I see that I want. I'll add it to the cart then as I've accumulated items I think do I really need all this? Is there anything i can put back that I don't really need? It's a good way to save money. But, in grocery stores or any retail places that have long wait times at the register, I think that's how people should handle the situation also. Just leave your cart in line and walk out the store leaving everything in the cart sitting there. The store would have to bring in additional workers to put back all the stuff in the cart and some food might even be spoiled by the time they do that causing not only a cost of labor for the store but food waste costs. That's why I do most of my shopping online I don't have the patience to stand for half an hour waiting to checkout.

Those were definitely interesting times for me hahaha.
It's funny, I went to goodwill multiple times to look for jobs on their job board. I don't know why it didn't occur to just walk to the other side and look for shoes and a rain coat.
I was just in survival mode and focused on getting a big boy job that paid real money.
