      @@baconfromhell666 great question! I'm doing a challenge. Adding 1 rep a day for 10 days, 2 reps a day for 10 days, then 3 reps a day, etc., until I find my max reps. Then I add weight and do it again. Mostly because I have a back fusion and have to do it slowly. Purely experimental, but it also is to build consistency and accountability.

    Fantastic work my friend. There's a rather alarming yet humorous interview I saw years and years ago with Brian Shaw, four time winner of world's strongest man competition. The interviewer asked Brian, off handedly right in the middle of a slew of questions how many pull ups he could do. Brian stared blankly at the interviewer and replied, "I don't do pull ups". A video later surfaced of him doing his absolute best at the chin up bar, and he managed to do 6........6. If the world's strongest man can't even get into the double digits of pull ups, view that as the challenge. Keep going!

  • @jahmanborneo1343
    @jahmanborneo1343 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Honestly, looks like you could benefit from more weight. There comes a point where too little weight can be shaky or not as stable. I know that sounds counter-intuitive. Safety tip: can your rack be lowered? Looks like you are extending pretty far up to rack the weight? Could be problematic if you ever need to rack quickly. Also, when the weight goes up, THAT'S when you'll really notice the value of a stable upper back and firmly planted feet. Enjoy your vacation!

    • @NowAcceptingChallenges
      @NowAcceptingChallenges 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'll look into seeing if that can be lowered! Good point. Right now I'm working on a challenge to see how many reps I can do with this weight by adding reps per day, and when I find that out, I add more weight, and then do it over and over until I find my max weight/max reps. But I will DEFINITELY see if I can lower the rack!

    Love the enthusiasm, you should not expect to be able to always go up every day. A big part of getting stronger is giving the body a chance to rest and regrow muscle fibers that you are breaking down when you train to failure. You might consider alternating your bench press days and your pull up days so you can get your workout in while still resting muscles..

    • @NowAcceptingChallenges
