I got up bright and early at 4:30 AM to see what kind of progress I've made. As a beginner, I'm documenting my journey to mastering pull-ups, starting from hanging on the bar to building the strength needed to do a full pull-up.

If grip strength is an issue, get some straps.
Try out different grips. Palms facing in allows recruitment of bicep muscles.
Ps. It's called a static hang. It's very good for you. Don't get yourself down about lack of pull-ups. Static hangs are great for you.
Very encouraging, thank you! I think grip is fine so far, my arms definitely gave out before then. Definitely an improvement from yesterday. Hopefully it continues!
Your posting day and night what do you do for work
Haha - Thanks for the comment. I work as an Operations Director and Data Scientist/Analyst. I am scheduled to work 4 10 hour shifts (Monday-Friday) but I usually work four 11 hour shifts with a few hours on Friday. (Which is why I'm up early) I live close to work, so if I shoot it in the afternoon it's on my lunch break. Luckily most of my videos are short!
I just hope to make the most amount of people happy and motivated - if I can progress, anyone can. If there is anything I have learned (after losing 125 pounds) is that consistency and accountability are key. If posting daily is the consistency, then my audience (you guys) are my accountability! I have conquered my diet, but I have NOT conquered my exercise.
I need you guys for my long term health, so I thank you, sincerely, for the likes, follows, subscribes, and comments.
