Thanks for that bud ...
Hey Gordy, just picked up a 500i. Was looking at a bark box, but most of my forestry work is near enough to people that it might be too loud. Do these work on the 500i style muffler? Do you think they'd make any difference?
I need to see a video on that chevy now
Does any one know why them trees have buttress roots ?
I love my 500 I. It’s just stock
Good stuff Gordy, cheers for the reel...
🙌🙌👉🙌🙌🙌
How can I buy one Jed’s shirt ????
Great video. Thank you
I should have watched this vid before pinging that tiny circlip across the workshop.. 😂
I would love to hear more from you guys about the role of the gullet in the process of wood chip formation, transportation and egression from the cutting kerf. How is this affected by the dimensional relationships present in the cutter link and how exactly do you determine the chip drag coefficient.
What a day. Super cool
Sweet set up i went with a velocity stack and a uni filter on my ported 400c an 500i both
I ain't going to be following treeson he uses battery powered chainsaws na im good
Great job and great video have a good week sir
👏👏👏👍
This was the best video of what a real logger uses in the woods and why you carry what you do. i also like how you mention the pros and cons of your products. that's an honest salesman. keep up the great work and be safe.
How much you get for a big tree like that? All processed and hauled to the mill?
I feel like Gordy hung out with a couple cholos in high school.
Ever use a 550xp or 562xp to limb or do you pretty much stick to 70cc plus saws ? Our bark in Michigan is quite different but I love the 550 to limb. Also there is no way you are almost 50!!
Yes the 70cc and up is what we run mainly to be able to pull a 32” and up bar so we can stand up save the back And yes I will be 49 in march born in 76
Dang
OSHA: Never use a chainsaw while standing on a ladder. This guy: Hold my beer.
For only $5.99 extra they will throw in a can of CornStash Grease its better then any Boudreaux Butt Cream. Also helps to take the sting out of ass cheeks.
Successful video when over 50% of the subscribers click that thumbs up!
Is there a reason for calling yourselves fallers? You fell trees and that makes you all fellers. Nothing wrong with correct terminology.
Ordering one now. Just need this for the 461 now. 💥
To say it has a nice firm fit is an understatement the first time I put the cover back on. I had to use pliers to shove and twist.
I just moved to a small rural area in eastern Tennessee and I have a neighbor who is 70 years old, he knows me and my little family are just getting started out here so he’s given me tons of stuff he doesnt use anymore. One of those things is a 1980 John Deere(Echo) 50v and a ton of chain, said it’s just too heavy for him. Let me tell you what folks, I’m no master sawman but with a good sharp chain this 44 year old machine absolutely eats some wood, especially after I tinkered with the jets. Ive been running the dog sht out of it, cutting wood for my brick oven. Idk how it compares to other saws but they sure made them sturdy back in the day.
Whats not to like about Moustache Mike?! Thanks for posting such great content
Gordy, what kind of fuel are you using that’s blue like that?! Great video btw! Stay safe.
Amsoil saber 50:1
The machine was left deep in the forest for many years but still started
How can I ported an Ms 661... But I don't know where to start, it's a work saw... I would like some tips!
Appreciate the take on suspension and numb hands. I’ve been getting that now in my late 30s for the first time. I’m guessing it’s due to snowmobiles and chainsaws. Is there a big difference in antivibe between an ms460 and the 500? I’ve been eying the 500 and if it’ll help my hand health than it’s worth the cost.
Yea going from the 460 to that 500 is a lot easier on the hands for sher you will be noticeably less tired
You guys need some of Bjarne Butlers' Power Wedges for the big trees.
I loved watching this. Nothing better than gypo logging!!!! Thanks for sharing with us. Also I made this months cover on loggers world. Crazy a little guy like me gets recognized.
I'll check it out!
Thank god there are still men out there like this
The mustache we needed, but didnt deserve
😂
The first thing I did to my 661 was changed from the quarter turn to the old style screw on for the air filter nut. I do like how it seals just like the HD2 filters not requiring a heavy glaze of oil to seal against the base and fits under the stock cover.
Got that new upper lip foam filter installed. Great video as always, thanks!
Im pretty sure this is one of the only times an 066 gets called "the little saw" 😂😂😂
Garret's a Manimal!
Thanks for the video Gordy!
You bet!
I put in a hwy pop-up piston, hwy titan nickel cylinder with caber rings in my 044, did break-in procedure per Donnie walker. I put in maybe 20 tanks through it at 40:1, kept a sharpen square chain. I dawged into a 30 inch log with 25” bar skip chain, halfway through the saw died and had no compression. Looked into the exhaust port, a piece of piston ring broke off about 1/4 on top and 18 inch off the bottom ring, scored the piston and cylinder. What is the cause of the failure, is it parts, dawd’n into the wood a little harder than normal.? I can’t figure it out, new cam shaft, piston, cylinder!
Wish you made them for Echo 590 & 620
Going to be seeing this a lot in wildland fire fighting
I use to ms 880 with a 3 foot bar on it all day long and at night my arms would just get numb and falling asleep and feeling like they weren’t even part of my body I use to cut a lot of oaks and eculyptus trees a lot of them up rooted themselves in rain storms and a lot of them I just dropped and had to be removed they were like from 50 inches to 60 inches in diameter at the base and 200 feet tall and some times when I had room to drop those trees that were that tall I would throw my climbing up in them and I would tye my climbing rope to my Ford F-250 power stroke and I would pull them down with my ford250 powerstroke and then I would cut them up
That’s a lot of saw to cut with for sher
Gordy. Thanks for all your videos. I have a weird saw. Nobody uses them that I know of ha but it’s an MS391. I love it. Do you make something similar that would fit?
Nice saw..... And truck behind you. (Good tuning tips too)
Good stuff. Thanks
