Gordy!! I just purchased a bark box for my 500 and I gotta say it's absolutely insane I was in tight quarters doing crane work doing a bigger white pine and it's absolutely screams TH-cam does not do it justice it's incredible
Just what I needed today. Pure tree cutting badassery. Looks like a really fun day to make a buck for the day. Glad the sun came out for you. Be well, Gordy.
Good weather for this episode of M & G adventures, and there's definitely worse strips to be workin in. Kinda cool how those were graft on a stump like that, see sumpin new everyday! Safe cuttin men
So satisfying when those wedges squirt out as the bottom cut meets the gunning cut. I don't think I've ever been accurate enough to make that happen, lol. And I'm certain Jed's spirit is alive and well in that 044, too.
😁😁That was fun...course I wasn't bangin wedges, I was sitting in my chair watchin 😂 But I haven't been able to cut since a week ago Monday !! 3 snow storms back to back, got over 20 inches then the Temps dropped to 16 below zero 3 mornings in a row 🙄 above zero today though. Thank you for bringing us along Gordy appreciate ya ❤
LOL....of course you give the crappy side to your "friend"!!! Duh!! Now you are expected to pay him back on the next one.......fair is fair! Love the video! Nice axe....where did you get the handle?! You have some good friends!! Don't misplace them!! Have a great week!
Well musta seen this video couple times already… got a done up 440, but somehow will never quite sound as swweeet as Jed’s ol 044. Gives me goosebumps somehow👍
We miss yah on the stump where you are at Westcoast. guilty of Treason is entertaining, but we need the Westcoast in that mix as well 😊. Im just saying, in all fairness. I hope you and Jacob are doing well and staying busy. Just enjoy your guys' videos, and when u guys meet up.
On your first tree, your saw was binding in the cut. Why is that? I run a 461 with EXL and I have some trouble with that esspecially brand new chains. I couldnt even be considered an amature though
@@westcoastsaw1368 I was having that trouble mainly in my face cut conventional notching maple. I figured stock EXL would be fine. Cuts great straight cross grain, I touched up the teeth and set the rakes to .025" with your gauge. Hopefully that does the trick
Great Video! Question: What's the main cause of the saw ''bugging'' in the cut in your opinion ? rakers too low? 3 points dog giving too much ''leverage'' ?
I saw you helping Jake on another video with the dump and 2 firs. He has a br800 backpack blower. Is there any way to get more power out of it. Porting or tuning?
Good on you for keepin Jeds saw in the bush. That 044 rips!
Appreciate and enjoy your content!
Thanks 👍
I enjoy seeing Mike a lot, but I always love it when that specific 044 makes an appearance!! Keep up the awesome work Gordy!
Thank you very much!
The ol 044 is rippin & Jed is smilin 👍👍
Good stuff. Jed's saw was singing a beautiful tune.
Jedd was smiling that day that 044 sounds great❤🙏
Awesome! We call them pecks! Good to see the old 44!
Be interesting to hear the differences between that 500 and that 44!
And the ger a tour of Gordys trucks
Great work Gordy. Any chance of you filming with tube salad soon again? :)
😂
Possibly! Coming up

Great video of getting it done, would love to see a video of the old truck too.
Cool video. Always good to see Mike!

We need a walk through of that old Chevy
Fun fact....when Gordy first digs his saw into the tree, the closed captions say "music". Yes. Yes it is.

I have never been a logger, but I love just laying a saw in a tree and watching it fly. Yall stay safe.
Wow that chain is hungry 😊
Mikes axe looks legit!!!
It is! It has a JS on the handle 😜
@@mikeboldt2647 interesting 🤔 😂

@Gordy, for a Frankentree they still layed nice. 😎✌️
Nice video, I love to see trees fall.

Man I like trees and all. But this was pretty sick. That chainsaw sounds nuts😂
Just met one of your buddies Shawn . He’s a good guy !

I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Great work Gordy. but can you please start making stuff for stihl 036?
Best felling videos out here
whats the go with you running the stock air cleaner cover again?
On your first tree, your saw was binding in the cut. Why is that? I run a 461 with EXL and I have some trouble with that esspecially brand new chains. I couldnt even be considered an amature though
I messed up
And took way too much off my rakers that was my fault

Looks like Hemlock crafted onto Doug Fir
What are do the needles look like?
They grow them in rows like that in Minnesota too
yeah, they sure do i live in Minnesota as well!
@@EasyMoneyCrew I'm in idaho but I sure love MN
@@batmantiss sweet man Idaho is so pretty.
@@EasyMoneyCrew back at you. If Minnesota wasn't a blue state, I'd live there
Are the stumps getting removed? Seem high in flat ground.
25:05 😉
Pay attention and he tells you what's going to happen.
Yes they are pulling everything out and replanting
Great Video!
Question: What's the main cause of the saw ''bugging'' in the cut in your opinion ? rakers too low? 3 points dog giving too much ''leverage'' ?
I had taken too much off my rakers the night before
Was this down at Snowshoe Evergreen by chance???
Surprised they didn’t machine log this patch
They should of but they misjudged how many trees were in that little area they thought 11 loads but we ended up with 21 loads
@@westcoastsaw1368 oh well… more $$ for you and Mike! 😁

Do you know the intended goal of that tree experiment? The only thing I can think of is to have faster growing alpine fir.
Is that out near Rochester? Nice work guys
Awesome video,, I was hoping to see Mike smoking his pipe lol!
nice work , would a feller buncher be faster
Yes way faster but they didn’t want to haul it in 🤷♂️I will take the work
❤❤❤
that square have a cummins too?
Not that one 496
nice! @@westcoastsaw1368
Why was a buncher not brought in?
Hey, Gordy, is there a way to get ahold of you? I'd like to get a saw done by you if possible.
How cold was it in this video in metric Celsius pls
I told you, when dry cold air runs into moist hot air, guess what happens? You need to make no house air goes into attic
Flop, floppety, flop, flop, flop. 👍 (Talking 'bout the trees, not the video 😄)
So you're tellin me there are trees to cut down on flat ground? Shoot there's not even big rocks or holes to trip over or into on this deal!
Time to get ill!
No
I want to know more about your chevy!!
Nice video👍super job 💪, lumberjack Mirek B . Czech Republic .🖐🪚
