Well, in the process of installing my new Orion Transfer Case from Valley Hybrids, I got intimate with installing my parking brake drum. It’s been a while! Sorry for the break wrong way nation, between working overtime to have a big family vacation, and then going on said vacation, it’s been a minute. We’ve been in Scotland for a little over three weeks, and in that time we got to visit our cruiser friends Kenny and Ali. Ali ended up with a 2011 HZJ71 and we did a little video of it. I picked the worst possible day of weather to head down to Valley Hybrids and start the Orion transfer case build. Half of California was under water and the rest was blowing away in a hurricane. LOL, but I won't admit that I've done that same thing too...Oh I've got one for 'ya: You pick up the metal thing you were drilling, it's sizzling hot and then you touch the drill bit. I have the cheap-o bits and they can't cut through hardened metals... as I learned the hard way!

I understand the sentiment, but it’s been built for this type of thing. Lift won’t get much higher, and the tires will stay where they are, but I can’t “not” take it on one of the most iconic trails in northern CA.
They were meant to be used. No sense conning us into wasting so many hours of our lives watching him build this thing if it's just gonna ponce around in a shopping centre carpark
@@projectwrongway9127 This is why I got two of them, 1969 and a 72. one is nice like yours and primarily runs the dirt roads, mainly I take it hunting, camping etc, I push it a bit, but nothing that can roll her. the other is setup for rocks and doing shit like this. If I roll it, we just flip her back over and break the welder out.

Lol, I figured 30 seconds was long enough wait.
With the guard on, they get caught in your pants and jam. Sparks and chunks are controlled away from your face/eyes/breathing With the guard removed, they can run all the way up your pant leg. "All the way up" The quick release guards are so easy to remove when needed
I'm a fan of the guard , slightly cut down ,need bit to get purchase on when needed.
