- I’ve installed the Wild Horses Rear Inboard Shock Mount, and the Super 9 Rear axle housing. My question now is, does that look right to you bronco wizards?! Let me know before I do the permanent welds…
I would listen to Rachel since all of her suggestions seem correct from the beginning. “Just hit it with a hammer”, “wear a welding mask”
She’s my compass.
The horse sound should be be apart of the the intro music on all the bronco episodes lol
I’m thinking that’s a good idea.
"You sit on it while I hammer from the bottom." 🤣🤣
If I had a dollar for every time…
Funniest part seeing you fix on the Bronc, while the the engine to the FJ sits in the middle of the shop. 🙂 #Relatable
Talk about irons in the fire eh? At least that engines in the cruiser now.
Nothing screams Wild Horse sponsorship like working on the Bronco in Cowboy boots and shorts
I wish! Just trying to give those boys a proper shout out, they’ve been kind to me.
You didn't mention anything about the Battle Axe you appeared to hit the shackle in at the 4 minute mark. That was fucking badass.
I'm going to have to add one to my shed tool kit now.
Cold Steel has some awesome toys…
With those tight shorts and cowboy boots, you're going to attract a whole new audience.
Exactly what my plan was!
Would like to see you driving around the Fj! Been following you since the beginning. Need to see the enjoyment of all ur efforts in getting the fj running
It’s almost ready for the road again! Almost…
The shock mounts look good to me. Do consider your pinion angle. How much lift? 2.5 inch? The pinion angle can be adjusted with shims if needed and a slight adjustment won’t throw off the mounts that much but that depends on lift height. Also consider exhaust routing and any other accessories, not knowing your build plan, but i did inboard on mine at first and I added a track bar later that interfered with the shocks so i moved them out board. And i know you are in mock up but on final install put the upper shackle bolts outboard or they will catch the hanger on flex….
I’m picking up what you’re putting down. I’ll be following some other builds with the same inboard setup, but I’m not cutting off the outer mounts on the frame in case I need to change it up down the road. Plus I’ll switching the bolts out, because it’s bugging me too!
Just seeing this video now it’s a Riiiight I have a 72 that I just took the body off just to put a 1 inch body lift in to put my new engine and transmission in it
Going body lift too, and 1” sounds about right.
Ok great, keep the vids coming, I’ll go back and check out your vids from the FJ? Is it done?
Getting there, just some final tweaks.
I'm at a loss to see what is gained. Made exhaust routing more complicated. May wish to reconsider for staggered shock layout. Or, inclining shocks slightly to allow the axle to travel thru an arc transcribed by the front spring attachment radius. Check out some of the more successful, early Bronco Baja chassis.
Solid feedback, I’ll be checking out that Baja build (top tier stuff). Thanks for weighing in.
The e boots were a bit disturbing.
They hurt like hell too.
Where are the Bronco wizards? I want to know what they say about this suspension.
I also started a thread on ClassicBroncos, some feedback on there too. I’ll be going over the info and figuring out what to do.
I love how you flirt with danger. Why, you may ask, well, because everything here is about fat bottoms. They make the Bronco world go round....
Yeah buddy!
Are you in Northern California?
Yessir, Butte County to be exact.
is the pumpkin in the right orientation or degree? That might be a slight factor in your final welds for the brackets
Should be good to go… but you know me.
I believe a wise man once said:
👇"WHAT ARE THOSE!?!?"👇
I’m not wearing them again. Hurt.
Promo>SM 🙃
I don’t understand. Which is probably my fault.
