such a lame list. either you just picking high rated reviews parroting popular opinion. nothing new here.

Dragon Quest is milquetoast. One if not the most bland and boring RPG series I have personally experience. Chrono Trigger, a single RPG from the 90s blows the entire franchise of the water. I have both DQVIII and XI and I fall asleep at the controller. I go back to good games like Samurai Legend Musashi and Bubsy 3d.

I am absolutely hooked on it. Love it. Thank God they gave the option to keep the waypoints and quest help off. I love the hands off approach. Going purely by what npcs are saying and letting your own exploration lead the way. Great game.

Its a good grind, you grow the way you desire. Compare this with metaphor refantazio... you will beat the game before unlocking all archetypes, and definitely won't get the jobs all to level 20. Let alone unlock skill unlocks with m attack. But the gamers, are like its ok. You are meant to play it 2 to 3x times. I did it all one playthrough. No way i play it 2x. Dq3 yea i will play many times.

game was to ez on normal. i picked a "weak" party and rarely died. Also let ai take over to see how it goes ez. i never once grinded or explore for "beat" equipment until 3rd play to cleanup. Just do whatever one wants and have fun u less you wnt that 2% max while spending hours etc for not much.

I recommend checking out Romancing Saga 2 remake that came out recently. Its really good

Good video. I see your passion in this. A few pointers from a fellow lover of JRPGs. It’s better to be honest on how much time you spent playing a game instead of saying you played for a very long time. Also there is no musician class in Infinite Wealth.

I love the jRPGs from SEGA. I played and loved: - Persona 5 Royal - Persona 3 Reload - Yakuza: Like a Dragon - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth And I ordered Metaphor: ReFantazio to play it next week.

I can't wait to start this one up. I enjoyed the mobile port on Switch a few years ago but this looks WAY better. Going to be great!

A decent list, pretty modern though. I've played a few of these but most I haven't. Feel that there are quite a lot of older games that are missing from this list: few Tales of games, a few FF games, and even a few Wild Arms that can easily make a list like this. There are so many great JRPGs.

Try to put more gameplay instead of cinematic videos, your commentary sounded good but i have to look up all of these games seperately to see if the combat is what im looking for

Persona 5 royal had that issues that if you want the full ensing ypu might have to play it twice if you do a blind play through.

I dont like octopath. Its annoying and boring most of the time. I tried so hard to like it but I couldnt. Everything else is fine on this list. Good job:)

My problem with Three Houses, is the monastery sections just become a slog on repeat playthroughs since not enough changes regardless of which route your on. This is especially noticeable in the first half of the game, where the chapters, and monastery sections are 100% identical regardless of route. So the stuff that does change isn't until around the half way mark, about 20-30 hours in

Octopath 2 is so goated. Unreal gameplay, soundtrack and stories.

Good video but completely disagree about FFXVI. No strategy at all, it's just button smashing and waiting for CDs. If it was called DMC we would call it an action game, people call it Rpg coz it's a FF,that's all. I felt God of War was more of an rpg than FF XVI sadly.

P5 is a really bad game for me.I wasted 100h of my life to fast forward almost every dialogue and run around to max social links because i did dungeons always on the first day and then i had literally nothing to do while waiting for story to proceed except raising social links.I don't even understand why people call it jrpg when it's 99% life sim.Plus the writing is terrible.Like they hire a child to write the dialogues.

Am I crazy for finding Persona 5 Royal just unimpressive and boring? I enjoy everything outside of the palaces, the combat makes me feel like I'm doing the same thing in every single encounter.

Great list, Metaphor, P3R, P5R, Fire Emblem Three Houses, DQ11, SMTV-V I loved them all. Fire Emblem Engage was also okay but I like Three Houses better

Which game of this list would you recommend to a Christian?? I tried SmtV, but it’s definitely not my cup of tea. I already have persona 5 royal though

Octopath is dope, but it's DEMANDING!....100's of hours in and I never finished!...you gotta be "bout that life!"

Shin Megami and Bravely Default start strong but become dull grindfests pretty fast 😔 for switch there is also nights of azure 2, if you an healthy young Male 😁

Love octopath! Both 1 and 2! Currently 70hrs in on Metaphor. Never played any persona so it’s been interesting

Glad you enjoyed it I guess, but I can t defend metaphore, it’s disappointing that atlus made thsi game, it’s so low compared to royal. The writing is so bad in the second half im sorry but I can t comprehend people saying it’s a masterpiece

OCTOPATH traveller is a great game but is severely lacking in the story. The soundtrack alone saves it from being somewhat mediocre and keep it in the great category.

Please please please play 1 and 2 before 3 not only because of its major connections but also because you NEED to know the entire Klaus story for 3s expansion to make sense

Metaphor is the most overhyped disappointment, that's some of the blandest writing I've ever seen from the Persona team. It really highlighted how poor their world building skills are.
