    Honestly, most Dragon Quest games are as cozy and relax to play. That's what I loved about the series. It doesn't try to do anything that deep, not doing so many complicated things, doesn't break the pacing down and it follows the progression very nicely. Combined with it's traditional atyle gameplay that's atill going strong and colorful & charming worlds, characters, music and just the adventure all around, Dragon Quest is my go to of RPG's.

    I always appreciate it when Ni No Kuni gets the credit it deserves. It’s so good and the creature collecting is pretty cool.

      Yeah the part that got me was not being 100% sure how to complete the different errands that require you to get emotions in the locket or whatever. Besides that, the game was just long. It's been 10 years since I was serious with the game. I'm stuck between booting up my PS3 version or starting all over from the beginning on my Steam version

    Nayuta Boundless Trails is a good cozy JRPG. Falcom, action, small story & area, unconnected to the bigger trails series, platformer and heavily replayable. A short and sweet package.Great video btw.

    I dont know why but Eiyuden Chronicle felt like a cozy jrpg to me. I know it was all about war and everything but it didn't seem like the stakes were that high and the fortress gave more of a cozy feel, especially the hot spring.

    I played dq11s on switch for an hour or so before bed every night for months. No missable content (so no need to stress and use a guide), adjustable battle/grinding, perfect aesthetic and music. It’s just perfect. I had some weekend time for grinding and playing more difficult sections but in general, the game is perfect for the before-bed session.

    Hearing Trails in the list, I am satisfied. 👍
    I would also recommend Scarlet Nexus or Daemon X Machina, dunno if it's relaxing or not but it's fun to play.

    Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana, or Trinity Trigger are all good for relaxing.
    They're really easy to play and don't require a lot of thought or any in-depth management systems.

    Lol I absolutely knew dragon quest 11 should be on this list. Funny enough, as I was thinking that, dragon quest builders popped up and I was wondering if 11 would be on here haha. I can't really call it, it could be the music for me, but I do get that chill relaxing feeling as I play dragon quest 11 and thanks to this video for helping me realize this, I appreciate the game that much more.

    Great list appreciate the video thanks❤
    Honestly this pirate is not a Pokémon fan at all☠️ however I throughly enjoyed my time with Arceus! so much so that I’ve actually completed it 3 times. Still it’s actually the only Pokémon game I like
    Harvestella is truly a gem was very happy when it was announced. while the time management issue can be a pain at times😓 it did not detract from the chill relaxing atmosphere of the game for me. ( would have honestly liked a bit more voice acting. the text heavy reading kinda took me out of it at some crucial points in the game. I feel the game would have had a more immersive environment and connective character development had it had more voice acting then the sparse amount it did)
    Definitely enjoyed trails from zero, however for me personally I had a more chill relaxing time with the first cold steal game.
    Ah yes Ryza is definitely a nice fun and relaxing game ❤ despite all the reading I have to do as I’m sadly not to fluent in Japanese 😭 ( yet) and I might add the atelier Sophie 2 game on the switch is an amazing fun experience as well
    Have been debating on rune factory 4 for a while now as it looks fun, thinking maybe I’ll pick it up and give it a go.

    I like this list! Atelier Ryza is awesome!!!

  • @mrp1234
    @mrp1234 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    really solid list. I would probably take off Harvestella (the daily time limits irritated me badly) and Ni No Kuni (to me, the gameplay is infuriating). Ryza and really any Atelier (especially without a time limit) is a great choice. Vesperia is a truly inspired choice... the fact that it's kinda low-stakes for most of it (not meant as a bad thing) helps a lot in it feeling super chill. same with DQ11. something about that art style makes it feel cozy and welcoming. I gotta play DQ Builders.
    I'd also throw on Kemco RPGs personally. I know they kind of get shit on and I'm not saying they're incredible games everyone must play, but they have fun and super simple gameplay. a lot of them are extremely similar too, like I played Chroma Quaternion and now I'm playing Isekai Rondo and it is essentially the same game with different sprites lol. they really feel like JRPG comfort food to me.
    you probably haven't played them yet, but WitchSpring R and WitchSpring 3 Re:Fine deserve a place here too. they've got the Atelier loop, though it's not as in-depth, and overall feel super cozy and sweet.

    I’m not so sure trails could be considered cozy or relaxing. There’s so much content the game doesn’t tell you about I need a guide to get the full experience. The bosses can also be tough if you’re not prepared. I love it but not cozy.

    • @bethstranding684
      @bethstranding684 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Silvamoon I could see a few of them being on the cozy side. I do get a relaxing feel from Vesperia. Idk what it is, probably the more lighthearted tone but it is a nice game to kick back to.

    • @Silvamoon
      @Silvamoon 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@bethstranding684 I’m talking about the Trails series like Trails from Zero. Tales of Series like Vesperia are definitely a bit more lighthearted. Not as difficult and I love the skits which provide some lighthearted conversations. Later games have notices that let you know about side quests so you don’t need a guide. Sadly Vesperia is not one of them but as my first tales of game it’s got a special place in my heart.

      @@Silvamoon oh ok. I still see zero and sky and even cold steel 1 being some of the most chill JRPGs I’ve played. Yea they’re deep but the whole reading a good book type aspect is extremely accurate for these games.

      If you’re going for 100% completion Trails can become quite stressful. But if you forget about that and instead just get immersed in the world and the story (and not a guide) they can be really chill imo

    Couldn’t finish Legends sadly. Game made me sleepy. 😂 I liked all the gameplay improvements, but I would’ve loved if it had more trainer battles. Also, they need to add voice acting. I know they can afford it! Having to read all that stuff just made me drowsy. I ain’t a kid anymore whose imagination can just fill in the personality of the characters.
