A warning for people who are thinking of getting Ryza! Gust tends to rerelease their triolgies in remastered bundles that include the dlc for those games for less than if you bought all three separately. If you dont mind waiting, I suggest holding off on getting Ryza until then. I you just want to try atelier out and dont care about getting all three games, Ryza is a fine place to start, however.
So many good deals. I picked up Romancing Saga 3 so far and a few other non-jrpg games but plan to hop back on there and grab some more before the sale ends.
Awesome video. I was literally looking for this exact thing haha. They don’t always front page the JRPGs on sale. I didn’t see Berseria for 5 dollars I’m picking that up now! Thanks!!
Great video and all the best picks! For fans of more classic titles it's worth mentioning that there's many Final Fantasy discounts. Just picked up 5 games myself - all three Final fantasy 13 entries and FF3 as well as FF4 3D remakes - each for 7$. What a great time to be a jrpg gamer. Cheers! 🙌
I already found the Steam sale. Went through my wishlist, and grabbed 25 games for $400. A decent chunk of cash, but that's a lot of games for that price. Already owned 6/10 on your list, but I grabbed the Ryza games and Star Ocean 2R, which brought me to 8/10. I know it's practically heresy, but I can't get into Persona/SMT, I dislike 'social-sim' (least enjoyable part of Cold Steel also) and timed / limited action progression. Edit: whoops; 5/10 -> 7/10. I don't have the new Like a Dragon yet (only the 1st one). But Infinite Wealth isn't really substantially on sale, so it's still on my future purchase radar.
I like jrpg with a little modern graphics like "Yakuza Like a dragon" I am confuse on dragon quest XI s OR Like a dragon infinite wealth? like a dragon is more expensive but more modern. Which is better?
Ys 8 is by far one the best adventure games ever made, the sense of discovery and adventure its unmatched, the last game to do that for me were the One Piece Unlimited games on the wii (World red was pretty mediocre) so is a super easy recommendation. I know Ys 9 has the movement stuff but the setting is so boring, that I couldn't beat it. Ys 6 is pretty similar to 8 in that regard but is old Ys not modern Ys so it doesn't play the same and is only Adoll. SMT nocturne IS NOT an incredible remake, is a bare bones PORT with shitty DLC, however to experience SMT nocturne the most important megaten game for only 13,99 is a steal and I did...currently playing both SMT V and Nocturne on steam.

I’m with you Berseria is an amazing deal!
Yea Berseria is a steal at that price. Loving all the JRPG discounts this year!
Yea I picked up Berseria as soon as it popped up on this list hahaha. Also grabbed Ateleir Ryza.

Thanks for calling out the FF games!
less than $14 for Ys 8 is nuts... and I don't even like Berseria but it for $5 is also crazy
co-sign the Trails series! thanks for the list.
This is a great list of games that are crazy cheap. I agree DQ11 with mods makes for a perfect JRPG.
What kind of mods?
@@kemjokunI used the mod he mentioned here to use the original releases graphics. There’s also mods for the soundtrack that are cool.
Finally a list that I wholeheartedly approve of!
There is nothing as big and rich as the Trails series

Great list man. Some really good JRPG deals this year.
Awesome and informative video 😄 I already have and enjoy Ys 8 and Tales of Berseria. Those two are cheap and fantastic games
I tried star ocean but I really wish the battle was turn based. i couldn't get with it. Good video, thanks for giving me some options!
Keep in mind tales of Berseria is censored, plot-wise too.
Star Ocean 2nd story is amazing. a must buy
