I think it's really great that with all the huge JRPGs this year, there hasn't been one that seems to have been a disappointment or even meh (DD2? but I don't really know if it's a JRPG or not, I lean no). FF7 Rebirth was not for me but it's definitely an incredible achievement and it was clearly very popular and beloved. also I hope I'm not jinxing Eiyuden, probably my most anticipated, by saying this haha but based on the previews it thankfully will be just as awesome :) Unicorn Overlord is my fave game of the year and it'll be really tough to beat. I did spend 110 hours in it, would love a DLC/sequel/entire series with this gameplay style carried over forever lol, but I also know Vanillaware likes to switch it up a lot and they always nail it. I'm going to say it's a top 10 game ever for me too. Vanillaware just doesn't miss.
Loved Unicorn Overlord, so hopefully Vanillaware plans on releasing either a sequel or successor to it in the future. Excited to see Visions of Mana looks so similar to Trials of Mana, which I also really enjoyed. DQ3 is definitely releasing soon, though not sure if they’ll announce the release date at a nintendo direct or dq showcase first. Metaphor ReFantazio and Trails Through Daybreak also release this year, and both feature similar action/command switch systems. Metaphor will probably feel like playing Persona when in turn-based combat.
People have been hoping for Dragon's Crown 2 for a decade now, seems that Vanillaware are not really into the sequel thing. In my opinion there is a good potential in making a Dragon's Crown style game set in the world of Unicorn Overlord, in UO they mention that the original Zenoirans came from a different continent after their magics had devastated their land, that was 800 years before the events of UO, so have a story about an expedition to this continent and have a handful of playable characters...say: couple of humans, an elf, an angel and a couple of bestrals to choose from and go hack and slash your way trough various locales in this continent.
I need to play as adults and I want to be able to drive been playing since the original 3 and have played 1 (didnt like it) but but jesus after 5 I am DONE with high school and the same routine. Like with 3 at the time they need to revamp again because the formula is getting quite stale.
So glad Unicorn Overlord was successful. Such a cool game. I’m excited for Visions of Mana as well. Will be a really cool game to play in the summer.
Persona 6 going with purple for the color would be pretty awesome I think! Also nice news round up. Hoping to see more of these on your channel.
Dont think that would work. Purple is already associated with persona 1
Its going with green
@@lordpeeps1 Persona 2 was Red so I don't think reusing a color is an issue. Especially considering the first 2 games don't exist according to Atlus.
Hope Persona 6 is coming next year been waiting long enough
the Japanese leaker who has been correct on everything about Atlus says she expects Persona 6 to release in 2026
Great news round up exactly what I needed. Am so looking forward to DQ3 and Persona 6
getting the new Mana game to show support for the franchise!

I agree with everything you said about Unicorn Overlord. I’m playing through it now and it’s one I don’t want to put down.
@@slam-zany it's got really exquisite pacing and nails that "just one more battle..." feeling
It has been almost 3 years since they showed us DQ3 2D HD. I hope they decided to do the same for 1, 2, and 4.

I heard green from another channel, I think that’s a good bet
I can't wait to play SMT5V.
Same. I played through the original release and I actually can’t wait to jump into this re-release
DQ3 remake can’t come soon enough!
black/white will be the new color for p6
It’s green
I am so sick of the modern Persona formula, god I hope they change it.

@@friedchicken4735facts , if they take it to adult life , man , that would change the whole game ,🔥🔥🔥
