Coffee with Dee and Dory is a Sunday ritual. Thanks for showing my makes. Anne has a terrific tip for the hems. I've never heard of this either. My eyeballs will be looking for some banding now! I've had plans to start making Project Dress A Girl again also. I thrifted an orange floral duvet with 2 different coordinating colrs to make them from. The colors and style Anne made are so cute. You inspire me to change it up from my regular PDAG style. I have a shirt for my hubby that is next in line. Maybe he will model it for us. See you next Sunday!

I think both of your jackets are really cute. I love how they look on both of you. Dee, I don't think anyone would even realize that your jacket was supposed to button up. I know you wanted it to, but it's still lovely. And the colours you both chose are really your colours. They look so pretty on you.

Your new jackets are both so pretty!!! I know it didn't turn out as you were hoping, Dee, but I think that blazer looks amazing with the outfit and the stunning belt underneath - I have a number of RTW items that I can't button because there is no way to alter them the way you can alter a pattern and no one is the wiser that I can't button them! I love the pattern you chose, Dory - the lapels are so clever and a great idea for the pocket attachment, too. It's great to see Nate and hope he is enjoying the summer, getting outside, and baseball!

I love your makes! The floral prints are so bright and cheerful! I have made that Simplicity 8844 blazer as well and found the fit to be a little “off” as well, but I still wear it. Love your sister relationship too, it’s really nice :)

Very nice jackets! Hi Nate! So nice to see you! Yes, Dee, I've made that jacket twice. First time too big or just didn't fit right in the shoulders and was too small in the waist and hips. Second time I went way smaller in arms and shoulders and one cup smaller in bust and graduated out to almost the largest size in hips and even lined it ...turned out perfect! Love the pattern though. I did put a button on. Yours looks stunning on you! Dory the fabric you used was so pretty and it fit like a comfortable sporty jacket. You both made them your own and very nice! Great sewing! That jacket / dress combination is very flattering on you, Dee, even if the jacket did not turn out as expected. It's a very tailored look. Maybe remake it in a larger size if it feels too tight, but it's a nicely shaped jacket pattern.

Dee is do believe that is the prettiest top on you, it fits your figure so well. And the jacket would look good with Dory’s outfit too, it might layer beautifully. Dory your outfit looks so graceful and elegant for a special occasion! Well done ladies! On another note, during your reveals, could you show the neckband bindings/facings a little more zoomed in? It’s hard to see the final finishing….i hope that comment was okay, no disrespect intended. Your videos are so enjoyable!

Dory, what a great fit in the tunic sans the darts. You are so narrow in the shoulder and upper bust that when you make bigger sizes to accommodate your bust, the make ends up too big across the shoulders. Most patterns need some adjusting for all of us. If you start with that in mind, it makes it easier. Great make. Dee, Dee, Dee the makes are cute. The jacket reminds me of church ushers, not in a bad way. Just churchy, subdued, modest. The jeans or skirt and top look fantastic without the jacket. Play around with some color with the white jacket. Like reds, yellow, bright green, orange, cobalt blue. Thanks for sharing 😊😊
