Great fabrics! Just have to figure out what to do with them. That big floral would be nice in a long duster type jacket with white pants and a top and some of that great jewelry you always have Dory. I think the umbrella would be cool but it would need to be protected with some kind of finish, a challenge for sure. That challis floral would be beautiful as a dress with a full skirt you could twirl in Dee, not Grandma at all. Go for it with a nice straw hat and sandals, beautiful! Happy June!
Dee, First plaid I see a shirt dress. Dee, Green polyester material I see as a top and wide leg pants/capris that look like a one piece. Dory, Polyester, black, purple needs to be a caftan. Dee, Last floral of 6 yards, grandma fabric. Both should make something without the other knowing what they are making. Surprise! Dory, Last fabric with very large print needs to be a quilted jacket. You could quilt following the black lines already on the material. Let me know what your thoughts are on those suggestions. Have a peaceful day.
I love “ visiting “ with you ladies every Sunday. I haven’t found a thrift store in Michigan with garment fabric.Joann likes to sell fleece and craft stuff…
Hi Dee and Dory. I love your videos 👌🏼. Fabric hauls are the best. The olive green fabric would make a beautiful jacket with a hood and big pockets with the plaid as a lining. Wear with wellies in the fall. It’d be classic.
Love the fabric you both got - love the music on the video, too! I am so tempted to get one of those Fashion Bundles...but first, I need to make some inroads on what I already have!
I think my favourites are Dee ‘s plaids. I see the heavier plaid as a jacket with maybe a contrasting plain collar. I also love jumper dress which we call pinafores and the plaids would be great as that. The lighter weight plaid would also look great as a bias flared skirt if you can match the plaid. Dee’s olive green fabric could be a duster so she can wear a cooler colour next to her face.
I think the green fabric you could make a simple open jacket & pants set. The large leaf fabric you could make a mid length duster type jacket & wide leg pants.
Ladies! Those fabrics are ALL fabulous! Makes me want to go thrifting. I'm a bit frustrated because I misplaced a pattern that I was going to make next. How does this even happen? I picked out another, but I cannot get the other out of my head. Looking forward to next Sunday to see the new wardrobe pieces. Have a great week!
Enjoyed your fabric haul but really got a kick out of you both moving toward the camera to see the blur. I had to laugh. It is something my sisters and I would do. Dee your second darker plaid I thought would make a cute jacket to wear with denim and khaki. Your last fabric Dory reminded me of the big print A line shift dresses from the 60’s.

Thank you! 😊
Last week, I went to a small thrift store and I was able to get some fabric. I am happy with what I bought.
Great job!

Isn't that the truth! So much fabric, sew little time.

We hate that when it happens. It does though! Hard to think of anything else when your focus is on that first one.
