- Here it is Spring and our challenge this week was to make an autumn accessory 🤭. That suggestion was sent in by Becky W.
Dee made a water bottle holder in autumn colors. She didn't have a pattern but watched many TH-cam Instructions until she found one she liked. She preferred a square bottom to a round one. The one she made is out of two fat quarters and is reversable. She used garter clips for her handle rings.
Dory used S1216. This is a very easy pattern and she loved using it. Her main fabric was from a thrift store and her lining (a ribbed knit) was from sincerelyrylee... She had a special 10 yards for $10. The pattern has the lining bigger than the main pattern piece to make a self edge. Nice touch! Dory made views F, D, and A - ear warmers, scarfette, and long fingerless gloves.

Both accessories were very nice and both are great gift ideas. I thought it was cute how Dee tried on Dory’s scarf while Dory was talking about her gloves. It looked good. It would make a nice accessory just to dress up an outfit.

When I saw the bag I immediately recognized the garter clips! Reduce, reuse, recycle well done. The warm accessories are super cute and would make lovely gifts. I will be searching my pattern stash. I have some that have hats and gloves. I've seen some pinterest ideas similar to the scarf. I have some makes from my holiday that I will post to you soon. Love the videos. I was so excited when I saw you pop up.
