Simplicity pattern haul ep 15-24

One day while out and about a friend called and said she was just at Field's Fabrics and they were having $1.97 sale on their Simplicity patterns. So off Dory went to get a few. She ended up with 11 Simplicity patterns and 3 Kwik Sew patterns.

I had that Simplicity Jiffy sheath pattern. My mother made it for me in a lavender wool for my senior year of high school, in 1968.

Looks to me like the vest converts into that top by bringing the ends up and securing with buttons. 2 looks in one!

Yay Dory...I live about 20 minutes from the Charleston area. I used to live in North Charleston. The weather will be warm, I'm sure! The Threads Blazer I've made twice and I really like it. I found I had to make it smaller in bust neck and arms and larger in waist and hip area so you really have to check the sizes out because it is more fitted than most. Your patterns are a great find! I have one of the Simplicity vintage patterns, too. Enjoy your trip to Charleston!

Silly question, but are y’all saying “ Fish eyed darts” and if so, what exactly are those? Im just getting back into sewing, and I’m a little rusty on sewing terms, lol, please forgive me. 😂😂😂🪡🧵👗

Fish eyed darts are narrow not only at the top of the dart but at the bottom also! Excited for you to be getting back in sewing. No questions are silly, ask away!
