I love fabric Mart and they are so nice to deal with. I find it most patterns need to be altered in order to fit different body shapes. You might want to check out the Power Sewing videos on TH-cam with Sandra Bettzina who designs for Vogue. They were originally a subscription service but they are releasing a couple of them every week and the last two that they released this past Friday were on altering patterns and redesigning existing patterns. I've been sewing for 40 plus years and I've learned a lot from them. Things keep changing in this industry and it's wonderful to get inside information on doing things better. Both your outfits turned out great, enjoy.
Dory, what a great fit in the tunic sans the darts. You are so narrow in the shoulder and upper bust that when you make bigger sizes to accommodate your bust, the make ends up too big across the shoulders. Most patterns need some adjusting for all of us. If you start with that in mind, it makes it easier. Great make. Dee, Dee, Dee the makes are cute. The jacket reminds me of church ushers, not in a bad way. Just churchy, subdued, modest. The jeans or skirt and top look fantastic without the jacket. Play around with some color with the white jacket. Like reds, yellow, bright green, orange, cobalt blue. Thanks for sharing 😊😊
Looking at the pattern I would not have made the tunic, but it is elegant with your fabric and will be an elegant outfit for the event. That fabric for the shirt is so wonderful and on the camera you really can not tell the difference between the white and cream. Thank you for your video.
Dee is do believe that is the prettiest top on you, it fits your figure so well. And the jacket would look good with Dory’s outfit too, it might layer beautifully. Dory your outfit looks so graceful and elegant for a special occasion! Well done ladies! On another note, during your reveals, could you show the neckband bindings/facings a little more zoomed in? It’s hard to see the final finishing….i hope that comment was okay, no disrespect intended. Your videos are so enjoyable!
