Stripes! Pattern Review KS3766 & S1355 ep 30-24

- We had stripes! Dee made Kwik Sew 3766 from a striped fabric she got in a FabricMartFabrics Fashion bundle. The silky fabric was difficult to sew on, but feels really good on. This top has a very nice shape to it.
Dory made Simplicity 1355 View A - Jumpsuit out of striped fabric she also had received in a FabricMartFabrics fashion bundle. She really liked the light fabric for these hot summer days. The straps need to be adjusted! They kept falling down. The back of the pattern is very low...keep that in mind.

Makes are pretty. Love the easy jumpsuit. Add to your box, if not already there, "copy the runway". Find a runway look from a runway show spring/summer 2024 or fall/winter 2024 via youtube or in person 😊 any designer you want n make the top, dress , pants, shorts or skirt. Show us your inspiration vs the make. Happy sewing 😊.

Lovely top and jumpsuit ❤.... I was out in the garage helping my husband with a reorganization and remodel project yesterday., we watched on my phone but I couldn't comment. We worked out there all weekend in 100* temps.... like working in a sauna. Happy sewing 🎉

Hi Dee, I would put elastic in the straps the length you want and you can leave the strap length as is. You’ll get a ruched effect on the straps and they will stay up with elastic. I make this alteration regularly to ensure the straps stay up.

Oh, I love flat felled seams as a finish! It doesnt work well on double gauze. Lol. Or denim if you are hand sewing. Lol.

Steam helps the fusing of the interface work too. I just use extra steam if it isn't sticking well, and flip it so it is fabric side up and press it again. I've used really old and cheap interfacings with success. Sometimes they separate from the fabric with repeated washings, but they have always stuck initially.

Lol, Im a plus size hour glass..... vertical stripes are not my friend. They just move way too much when following curves which makes me look bigger.
