- We get a bit side tracked this week, talking about energy drinks! This is part four of our wardrobe series.
Dee made New Look 6762 View B, a skirt, from a FabricMartFabrics jersey knit. The skirt carries the same dusty rose as her jacket.
Dory made New Look 6351 View D, a jacket, out of the same thrifted fabric she had made her top out of.
Music is from TH-cam Creator Music - "Sweetly My Heart" by Asher Fulero.
Thank you for joining us this week @sewingfun. Enjoy your week!

Bathrooms! Definitely. Toilet, shower, mirrors, counter, all of it!
I’m so happy I came across your channel. Beautiful makes for two beautiful women. Thank you. 💕 you guys make me smile.
Welcome to our channel. So glad you have found us and enjoy!
Hot and humid here in Philadelphia, too - good weather for staying inside and sewing if you have air conditioning! The skirt and jacket you ladies made are very, very good looking! Two more New Look patterns I will be looking for now 😄 - hey, hey, Nate - stay cool!
Nate sends a big Hey!
You two ladies are wonderful! Why haven't I come across your channel before?! You've been going longer than I have 😁.
I loved watching your New Look reveals, the skirt and jacket are equally as stylish
Looking forward to seeing more of you now I've subscribed❤
You will notice that Dee leans toward a Sew Carole esthetic while Dory is more dramatic. I never miss them on Sunday morning.
Thanks for subbing! We are so glad you found us! Nice to hear from you.
HEY HEY to Nate.... Lovely makes and your "wardrobe" outfits are really coming together.
Glad you like them! Nate says hey back.
You gals are so much fun.🤗 Dee you skirt and outfit was very nice and looks like it cost a fortune! Dory, your jacket was so cute! Did the pattern recommend heavy fusible interfacing or lining in the lapel area? Yes, spray starch is a good idea. Fun hearing about your parents and growing up. I was very prissy growing up and hated having to work in the garden.😂 I hated getting dirty.😂😂😂 See you next time!❤
Thank you! 🤗 Dory did put interfacing in the lapel area! She's yet to do the spray starch.🤣
Looking forward to next weeks style combinations!
😘
Both your outfits turned out so nice. Dory the top and jacket combo looks like a twin set and the outfit combined with that hat is gorgeous! Dee I like the colors you used. They look nice on you. I have the same pattern you used for the skirt. I made the top and really like it but haven't tried the skirt yet.
Thank you!
Just discovered your channel today.😊very delightful.
Welcome! We are so happy you found us!
I have the pattern for that jacket so it was great to see your make and hear your opinion. Striped skirt was lovely. I’m about to chop up some of my existing clothing to make Mc Calls 7650.
Wonderful! We would love to see it when it's completed!
@@sewingfun you bet.
Just started watching and I think you guys are great.
Welcome to our channel! Glad you found us!
Love both your makes and fabrics. I enjoy using New Look patterns they are easy to sew. ❤
Thank you so much!
Awesome ladies!!❤💯
Thank you!!
Thank you. Your makes are lovely.
Glad you like them!
Very nice, ladies!
Thank you! 😊
I was sitting with my coffee this morning, half through the first cup, all of a sudden (the caffeine must have kicked in) LOL I thought, Dee and Dory! Sunday! YEHAW Thank you for a wonderful start to my day. I've been cleaning and moving into my "new" sewing room this week. I'm feeling that it might not be big enough. My scattered organization doesn't seem like that much. However......oh my, I may need to scale down. On the bright side, my son brought and set up a vintage formica (?) 2 leafed curved chrome legged table for me. It's from one of our farm houses that he moved into. I love that the table will have a new, useful life in the sewing room.Nice young man says Mommy.
So exciting to have a new sewing room! The table sounds lovely. So glad caffeine kicked in!☕️
Add to your challenge box - making a facinator. Still waiting for the fitted garment. With darts or princess seams n zippers. No elastic. Thx for the words of wisdom as I know I have to work on watching my words. Sometimes, it is hard when you see someone, especially the under-served or disadvantaged being wronged. That person being wronged either chooses not to acknowledge what is happening or doesn't see what is happening. I find it difficult not to get angry and "use my words wrong". Everyone no matter deserves respect , if they give 🙏🏿 respect. Words matter 😊 for sure.
Dory would be all into making a fascinator. Do you have a pattern number for one? Those are Words of wisdom from you!
@@sewingfun I do not have a pattern for a. Fascinator. But would be open to research. I also will participate in that challenge if you take it on. A fascinator is not something I have ever made so I am up to the challenge as well. I would never ask you to do something that I wouldn't do myself 🥰
❤❤❤❤
😘
Both garments are elegant. Can't wait for your next video, such a great job transitioning into the reveals. Thank you for sewing and sharing.
Thank you so much!
Hi. Love what you both made this week. Hi, Nate the Great. Have a nice day everyone.
Thanks! Nate says hey hey!
Hello Dee and Dory. A new video! Yay. I’ve watched almost every video you’ve made. There’s two or three yet to watch. I love them. Great makes as always ladies 😊. I have very similar style to you Dee. I stick to neutral colours and love wearing black. The skirt you made would look fabulous with black. Your twin set is great Dory. It fits you well. Lovely makes. Have a great week. Looking forward to your next video.
We are so happy you are enjoying our videos. Hopefully you see improvement with the newer ones!
